I would NOT recommend DR. MELANIE RIBBECK to anyone in the community. Poor bedside manner, judging demeanor, condescending remarks, and fear mongering behavior. A physicians job is to provide education (which she did) but then respect when a patient respectfully declines. You don’t have to agree with every choice a patient makes, but you do have to be respectful. My encounter with her is the exact example of why people lose trust in providers. Thankfully she is not my child’s primary provider. We will NOT be seeing her again. Looking at a patients chart prior to walking in the room and making a preconceived judgement is exactly what she did to me. The condescending remarks were unnecessary, judgmental, and flat out rude. Just a reminder to all, you don’t owe any provider an explanation nor do they need to know your background, education level, etc.
