Dr. Melanie Ann Gisler, DO

Dr. Gisler is not just a doctor she is absolutely exceptional. Thank you Doc for helping me and my chronically ill loved one. In addition her whole office staff is friendly, willing to help, and professional.

Dr. Gisler is very kind, BUT I have never seen such an incompetent medical office. I came in extremely ill from mold toxicity, so time was crucial. After spending $2600 in lab/office fees in 4 weeks, other than a urine test, I had no results back. That was because they messed up the first blood sample, asked me back to draw it again and messed that one up too and the only reason I found out was because the lab called me! I wanted all my money back so I could just move on to a competent doctor and get the urgent care I needed. She refused saying they don't reimburse for Services Rendered. I had to laugh. That would be like me taking photographs of a client, them paying $2600 but I do not give them any pictures....disgusting way of running a business...let alone a doctors office.

This practice is so overpriced for just average services. Santa Monica is full of wonderful alternative practictioners, and other MD's who also practice Eastern and alternative medicine, in addition to allpathoic medicine. They are usually cheaper and the doctors have less ego.

I had the best care at Akasha. Dr Gisler spent an incredible amount of time with me. I finally felt "heard". She gave me a few different options of how to treat my situation. Both western and alternative, to see which one resinated with ME. She is both bright and caring. I look forward to working with Dr Gisler, and anyone else she would recommend.

Dr. is not particularly thorough, but very kind. Believes in finding alternative medicines for what ails you. Very poor on follow-through, labs, and suggesting specialists you should see for further care. Office staff, (young woman,) is extremely unprofessional on the phone, and rude in person. All other med tech people are very nice and doctor is nice, just lacking in good medical care.
