Dr. Melanie Kay Schultz, MD

Choosing Dr. Schultz as my obgyn doctor was the worst decision in my life and I paid for it with pain and suffering. I had at least 3 very good ones before her, and had to switch because of insurance issues.Then I let my guard down, with no referral I found her at Milwaukee Obgyn Office. The experience was terrible. It scarred me for many years. Dr. Schultz is cold, authoritative, impatient and most of all hates questions from patients. She gets very defensive and agitated as if patients are challenging her authority with questions. She makes you feel like you are stupid and are always wrong. Once I was waiting for my appointment and bumped into a few fellow patients and we started exchanging our experiences with the doctors in that office. When they learned about mine choice of doctor, I was advised to switch to another doctor in that office ASAP. I regret not listening to them. A few days before my delivery (at my last appointment), I asked Dr. Schultz if it’s possible for me to get… an induced labor over that weekend, because I have another toddler needs care and my husband is working. She got very angry and yelled at me: Between streets and hospital, just take your child to the hospital! I remember I was so sad cried all the way home. I delivered my child that Saturday under the care of an intern and she showed up hours later at my room. Avoid her at all cost!

I saw this woman many years ago and knew the last time would be my last with her. She is arrogant, and rude to the point of actually insulting me. I am intelligent and expect to be treated with some respect and common courtesy. This woman does not posses those qualities so for that reason I stopped seeing her and would not recommend her unless being treated like a silly child by a physician is something you enjoy. More to being a good doctor than knowing the anatomy, this woman missed the mark in being humane and treating people with dignity.

She is terrible. So unbelievably condescending. Avoid her like the plague!!!

I was totally put off by Dr. Schultz. Going to a new gyno can be tough, especially when there is an embarrassing pre-existing condition. Terrible bedside manner, little time spent discussing my concerns. When I asked if we could go over how to self check for breast tumors, she handed me a pamphlet. Plenty of other doctors in the area, doctors who value your time and needs.

I was a patient of Dr. Schultz's for seven years. She was very mean and judgmental. She made me feel horrible and stupid. I dreaded the time for my annuals, which is very dangerous for women. Fortunately, I moved away from Wisconsin and was forced to get a new OB/GYN. My current doctor is nice, caring and is truly an advocate for her patients. I didn't realize that I could have a positive experience at the OB/GYN until I left Dr. Schultz. I wouldn't recommend her services to any woman.

I have seen Dr. Schultz for several years. I was very happy up until my last two visits. She forgot about me twice in the exam room and did not even know what my lab results were after a month went by. It seems like she is just in it for the money.

Very rude and unprofessional. Realized that this is probably why I could get in with her so easily - she is not a sought after doctor. Treated me like I did not know anything - even caught her rolling her eyes at one point. Treated my problem of having trouble conceiving as though it was ridiculous. Very insensitive. Left there feeling much worse than when I came. Would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

needs to spend more time with the patient and care more about their problems. I felt she never really listened to me and did NOT help my problem at all!!!

Needs to be a little more caring and humane, friendly.
