She then attended Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences for medical school where she received a degree in Osteopathic Medicine and developed her passion for family medicine.Melanie was lucky enough to do her family medicine residency here in Missoula and loved it so much that she now calls it home.Through her training, she has developed a passion for women's health, pediatrics, and LGBTQIA+ health. She strongly believes that everyone deserves healthcare and to be treated with respect and an open mind. She is also passionate about Osteopathic manipulative medicine, which uses manual therapy to treat a variety of conditions.When she's not at work you will find her spending …time with her spouse and daughter as well as their dog and cats. She enjoys hiking and biking, spending time on the beautiful rivers and lakes in Montana, going to the farmer's markets, cooking and baking, watching movies, and reading a good novel.
