Dr. Melanie Rose Zermeno, MD

Due to COVID, it was difficult setting up my routine follow ups. I found myself in a situation where I ran out of meds for a week or so, but couldn't get a refill until I had completed a follow up with her. I was totally disappointment by the way she handled the situation. Already moved on, and seeing a new doctor. A warning for others.

I agree with the other one star comment. I have been seeing her for 10 years for bipolarism, anxiety, depression, paranoia, and suicidal tendencies. I thought she was great at first but really, anybody can do her job. She has horrible bedside manner. She just asks about your symptoms, smiles, and adjusts your medication if necessary. Nothing else. She told me I was supposed to schedule a appointment before she would refill my medication, and I forgot to, so I tried to get a refill and she said I had to see her first. Her next available was 4 days later and I had just ran out of two medications. She gave me two options, go to Hollywood health clinic, which they told me would take a month to prescribe me meds so that didn't help, or go to exodus urgent care, which they told me they didn't prescribe my medication. She gave me no transition to another doctor or other way to get meds. This caused me to go through withdrawal and spent $120 at an urgent care for a weeks worth of meds. Now Im… running out with no options. She was happy to have me as a patient when my mom was paying full price for the visits and I was going once a month, now that I have to pay on my own and have a discounted rate and only see her 3-4 months she seems not to care. She has all sorts of fees for calling her on the weekends or ask for refills on weekends. She really does seem more interested in making money then caring for her patients. Took me a decade to realize. If you have money, and get appointments all set up on time, you will have no problem she will prescribe your meds. Other than being warm and friendly, its all a facade. She left me in the desert and pointed me in 2 wrong directions without any water, after ten years!

Dr. Zermeno is the best doctor hands down! She is professional, always listens and is the best Psychiatrist in town - probably the best anywhere! Highly reccomended!

Dr Zermeno, is the best doctor I've seen, hands down. She is accurate with diagnosis,, with medications prescribed having drastic positive effect on my mental health. In my therapy sessions I felt at ease, felt like I was really listened to, with great insight into my illness and discussions throughout all sessions. In any emergency Dr Zermeno, returned my calls within the 1hr. always. I have been very happy with her, and have had follow up appointments
