Melinda Garrett, LPCC

Melinda Garrett, MA, LPCC-S, TCADC, is a licensed professional clinical counselor and clinical alcohol and drug counselor. In fourth grade, Melinda was fascinated by the work of Sigmund Freud and aspired to become a psychotherapist herself. She has always wanted to help people heal, understand themselves better, and feel less alone. This desire to empower others guides the compassionate care she gives each of her patients.
Melinda graduated from Eastern Kentucky University as a member of the National Honor Society. She has had special training in hypnosis, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), accelerated resolution therapy (ART), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Melinda enjoys various hobbies outside of her work in behavioral health, including listening to music and being in nature, especially the mountains.
