Melinda L. Gruszka, O.D. settled in Florida after completing her Doctor’s Degree in Optometry in 2009. Her experience and expertise with post-operative patient care and clinical studies made her a great candidate for The Eye Institute of West Florida. We are proud to have Dr. Gruszka join our group of caring physicians. Dr. Gruszka works closely with our corneal specialist, Dr. Desai managing post-op patients and treating dry eye/ocular surface disease. She also specializes in the fitting of scleral contact lenses.

Beware of this doctor. She will have student doctors perform your routine eye exam. IF you express your dissatisfaction with how the actual doctor does not perform your exam,. You will be BARRED from seeing this doctor.

My daughter had her first appointment today and Dr. Gruszka was so patient with her and made her feel so calm. I will definitely be back to see her, and I would recommend other people going to see her as well and if you have any kids she’s a great one to take kids to!

Dr. Gruszka’s exam & care was above my expectations. She is kind , knowledgeable & very positive during these difficult times. It was a breath of fresh air to have Dr. Gruszka help me with my eye issues. I feel fortunate to have found her.

Came in today with my daughter. She has been experiencing vision changes. Dr. Gruszka’s was very kind and sweet to my daughter. She also reassured her every step of the way. We left feeling good about our next steps. I would recommend based on knowledge and welcoming attitude.

Dr. Gruszka was very informative and thorough. She took her time and explained all tests she was doing. Best eye exam I have ever had. I would highly recommend her to family and friends ??
