A year before this visit, my 79 year old mother suffering with sudden and severe dementia, was brought to the ER and was being kicked out of her Care Home because she we were unable to control her outbursts of fear and hallucinations. Dr. Henry prescribed medication that greatly helped my mother and got her stabilized and calm, and minimized her terrifying hallucinations --something that several specialists and my mom's GP (at the time), had not been able to do. She was able to return to the Care Home! Next ER Visit, my mother had become very sick. Since my mother has severe dementia and cannot speak, most doctors don't pay much attention to her. Dr. Henry was amazing, again! She not only properly diagnosed her with intestinal impaction, but treated her with sweetness, and with respect. She also prescribed a treatment plan to prevent this impaction from happening again. My mother had a problem for years with constipation, but with Dr. Henry's help and wisdom, she's been doing so… much better! Treating the impaction was a horribly messy job, but Dr. Henry and Dr. Woodfield were not afraid of getting in there and clearing out as much of the problem as they could. It helped my mother enormously and I will be forever grateful to them. The next day, my mother felt better than she had in the last 6 months, and was actually responding to me ! Something she hadn't been able to do in months.
