Dr. Melinda K Jezierski, MD

Bedside manner is horrible. Doctor is rushing in and out. I never would receive calls back regarding results. I would have to call them to find out. I was extremely disappointed with the practice and had to find a different doctor. I do not recommend Dr. Jezierski.

I had scheduled an appointment for a physical and to have some clearance paperwork filled out so that I could move overseas. The first appointment went pretty smoothly, but the paperwork was filled out outside of the patient exam room. I typically see Dr. Okerblom, so I was a little disappointed to learn she was unavailable and on maternity leave. However, I accepted seeing Dr. Jezierski instead. As stated, she filled out my form outside of the exam room, so she did not consult me about her notes. Although she had not previously examined me or prescribed me my low dosage of anxiety medication, she recommended that I see a psychiatrist at my next location. This was completely unwarranted, as I had not been to a counselor in three years, and only went three times in university. Dr. Jezierski did not inquire about my history with the medication, or consult me about any other points on the form. Because of this, my paperwork was halted and my clearance for travel was nearly denied. Upon… hearing this, I went back into the office, visibly distressed. The staff at the front desk repeatedly refused to help me. They also claimed they didn’t have the copy of said paperwork on file to access and review. I left to print it out again and returned and again they denied me an emergency appointment. Granted, this is a government process, and I needed it revised as soon as possible. I expressed this to them, and they told me “the best we can do for you is an appointment next month.” At this time, very few people were in the waiting room. I can understand they were short staffed, but the lack of even a semblance of bedside manner or customer service when I was so visibly distressed solidified that I will never return to their office. Thankfully, I was able to see a physician at the local military base and have my paperwork revised. So much heartache could have been avoided with more open communication.

Over-billed twice. Poor beside manner. Cold and impersonal. Would not recommend.

Second apt with this Dr. Yes I was late by 11 mins. Signed in waited about 15mins for them to ask me to come back or reschedule. HUH? The Dr. has a 6min window and will not see you after that! Really? In 58 yrs I have never had that happen to me and I had to take off work to go to this NON appt. Too blunt and bold she showed no companion toward me and my issues. Refused to address some issue cause I smoke. Really? Wouldn't even talk about it. Back to my old DR.

I have been seeing for a year now and my health has gotten so much better. She is very thorough and she caught errors from my previous doctor that could have caused me some serious side effects. I am glad she is my doctor. Yes, the clinic is busy but, she tries her best to work with you.

I really, really want to like Dr. Jezierski because she has such stellar reviews. But I've seen her twice here in Santa Maria, and both times I was really disappointed. At both appointments, she seemed extraordinarily rushed and spent very little time with me. She was curt and brusque. My second appointment was for a very minor surgical procedure. When she was done, she left the room without even saying goodbye. She also had a nurse go over my lab results with me while I was checking out. I really wish Dr. J would have reviewed them with me personally, because I had quite a few questions. Based on all the great reviews from her patients in TX, I wonder if it's an issue with the office and not her personally. Regardless, I'm thinking of switching practices. I don't like to feel like I'm inconveniencing my doctor!

Very competent and knowledgeable, impressive credentials, personable, seems well suited to the Central Coast, has a PhD and an MD, her office and records are all electronic, only downside is most patients will feel very rushed. It seems like she may have too many clients to see. Do not expect her to have the time to sit down, give you direct eye-contact, and discuss anything with you. She will stand up and give some eye-contact if she is not buried in her laptop.

A truly wonderful physician. I couldn't be more pleased.

I was very sorry to see Dr. J leave Texas for California but am very happy for her. She is an excellent Doctor who is concerned for her patient's well being and a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend her and wish her nothing but the best!

Dr. Jezierski treats me like an adult. She works with me to optimize my treatment instead of unilaterally dictating to me a course of action. I am very pleased with her performance.
