Dr. Melinda Kay Knight, MD

My experience with Dr. Knight a few years ago was extremely negative. She left me painfully hooked up on a medical device while she left the room.I could hear her laughing and talking in the hall about her upcoming vacation In my opinion she apeared uncaring indifferent and rushed. I felt as if I had been bothering her. When she finally unhooked me I was given no explanation of why the test was done or what her diagnosis was.I had had recurrent UTI's with complications such as sepsis, and had wound up hospitalized several times, and administered IV's and antibiotics to take home.To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Her cold demeaner caused me to go into a depressive state for some time. If I could have given 0 stars I would have done so.

Dr Knight is a loss to Kenosha and Aurora’s hospitals.

Over 50 minute wait time in initial appointment. Little attempt to speak in a courteous manner...quite brusque and borderline arrogant. Seemed to be interested more in ordering tests than asking questions about lifestyle, nutrition and exercise.

I had a vasectomy with Dr Knight 4 years ago. I was wheeled into the operating room only 15 minutes after taking the medication. Dr Knight was not even there for the first 30 minutes of the procedure. The surgery was extremely rough, it took close to an hour to tile the left side of the scrotu, Have had testicular pain on the left side ever since the procedure was performed.I do not recommend Doctor Knight for anyone who is considering getting a vasectomy.

Most memorable was her "knicking" the intestine on her way in. A 8 hour wait time in the waiting room with less than efficient communication left the family irritable and extremely concerned. Then when the doctor finished her snack she decided to tell us that because she knicked the intestine, the general surgeon to assure the resection of the intestine was done correctly . I'm sure that will be an extra charge on top of the 2 bonus days to stay in the hospital. Bad practice.

Had to wait a minimum of one hour for every appointment

Saw Dr. Knight & she spent a good deal of time with me, was pleasant & seemed concerned. Pain returned; ordered a stat test for me which I was told by that dept. she would have results the very next day. That day passed. Called office on the 3rd day & was told by office staff she does not give test results over the phone. ??? I find this unbelievable. NOT very happy at this time.

Excellent doctor. Was very good at explaining my problem and laid out treatment. Office staff very courteous. Felt at ease with all aspects of the treatment. Back to 100%!!!! Thank you Dr Knight!
