Melinda Nevins, DO

Doctor Nevins is nothing short of extraordinary. Her capacity to intermingle compassion with root cause DX's and a broad range of intuitive and and intellectual look at the whole picture makes her the best doc out there ever! She really does "get it " when it comes to practical medicine and truly caring for her patients they know it and love her. Our family is blessed to talk with her.........

This doctor is horrible. I went to her close to 20 years ago. She got me hooked on a very strong benzo. She knew what she was doing. She was not careful with my health. I was strong enough to get off of it myself and then pursue college and finish two college degrees at 50. Don’t ever go to a doctor that Values your health that poorly!!

Melinda Nevins is a great Dr and I feel lucky to have been her patient for many years. She is knowledgeable compassiate and respected in the community of health care givers . She spends the time she needs to get to the root of my issues. I never feel rushed and always leave her office feeling well cared for.

She is not a true physician. I unfortunately know her from personal experience because our sons know each other and she is very irresponsible. She grows marijuana on her property, rents rooms to random people all the while, caring for children. She recently allowed teenagers to spend the night at her house, gave them only the floor and blankets to sleep on, let the under age boys drink alcohol and get high with the pot she was growing in her own backyard and there are various inappropriate videos of the boys performing lude sexual acts. She should be reported and investigated.

Dr. Nevins, is a caring, insightful Doctor who knows her patients needs, and openly discusses options with them. She does take time with her patients, and that is to listen, share insight and information which she has a vast amount of, and to make sure all questions and concerns are addressed. I have been a patient for over 15 years and know that she and her staff / colleagues know what has to be done, how to do it, and they all approach the patient with professionalism and friendliness. To those who have had a bad experience, I say give her another try...if your favorite restaurant had an off night, or the chef that always cooked your meals, wasn't working would you not return? -We are all human and get distracted, preoccupied and overloaded- so, consider rethinking your thoughts. Dr. Nevins is kind, caring and quite knowledgable.

Dr. Nevins was recommended to me but unfortunately I had a very bad experience with her. It is consistent with everyone else's review that she is never punctual, always late and never apologizes for or even acknowledges it. She is never prepared for the visit and even for a follow-up visit, she looks clueless and asks you why you are there. Her knowledge in many areas including infectious diseases are so lacking and instead of informing and educating herself, she just tries to get you out of the office as quickly as possible. I don't like to give not positive reviews but I am compelled to say something.

After going through the mixed reviews on this doctor...I thought I'd give her a try. When the receptionist answered the phone, I asked how long it would take to see a new patient and she said "what kind of insurance do you have?" I then said that it was too bad that waiting time depended on what kind of insurance I have! She then proceeded to be rude to me and talked over me. I was trying to explain to her that my husband works for Qualcomm and we have great insurance and it is a PPO. An that all Qualcomme insurance is PPO. She kept talking over me, and then I asked to talk to an office manager. She then stuck me on hold. The doctor may be great...but you have to work with the staff to get to her. I would not recommend working with these people!

Dr. Nevins is a compassionate professional who spends time to evaluate and come up with a diagnosis. I would reccomend her highly.

Great doctor! I usually have to wait longer than I want but it is worth the wait and she doesn't hurry me out. I do not like the Scripps ownership with added difficulty and time consuming to get a person on the phone in the office or to make an appointment. Too bad for us patients.
