Dr. Melissa Mae Burnett, MD

Dr Burnett is the best dermatologist I've ever seen at least 8 different providers in the Boston area over the years. She is very thorough, highly skilled and has a fantastic bedside manner. I've had countless skin cancer screenings and the one from Dr Burnett was hands down the most comprehensive. She's very generous with her time, explains things clearly and has a personality that immediately puts you at ease. This is a huge plus when you're getting checked over head to toe for a full body skin cancer screening! She's a true asset to the medical dermatology community and I'm so happy to have found her!

I was referral to Dr. Burnett's practice due to my son's acne problem but the appointment was with another doctor in the practice. When I arrived this morning I learned that not only the office does not have my son's appointment in their computer system but also the front deck lady insisted it's impossible we had this appointment as the doctor we had appointment with no longer accept new patient. I was upset but finally I was given another appointment with another doctor in the same practice, but we have to wait for another 1.5 hr. I was not sure if this new doctor, Dr Melissa Burnett, is the a right one and good one as this is the 3rd dermatologist we seek and the office ( the front desk) is not able to tell us if Dr Burnett is experienced with treating acne. All she ( the front desk) said is Dr. Burnett treats all sort of skin problem. Oh sure, this is exactly not the response patient wants to hear. Waitress' recommendation like " everything on the menus is good" will for sure NOT… stir up customer's appetite. But fortunately I decide to stay and see if Dr. Burnett can help as her rating on the web is high although no review mentioned acne treatment experience. Dr. Brunette came to our room and examed my son and ask a few questions. She took her time to listen and then is able to come up with her own analysis and diagonosis. She then provided us with a treatment plan and additional explanation for the medication she is prescribing. She seems very confident and very experienced with treating teens with acne problem. I highly recommend her.

I followed Dr. Burnett from her previous practice Group in Cambridge because I have found her to be a very well trained doctor who is willing to explain what she is thinking in comprehensible terms. She is a caring,and competent physician whom I'm happy to know and trust.

Unprofessional

When first arriving for my appointment I was extremely anxious....after meeting with Dr. Burnett and reviewing my situation (which by the way was discussed professionally and with such care by Dr. Burnett)...I realized that I was with the proper physician tocare for me. I left knowing there was a situation to be dealt with however I leftfeeling confident I was in the best of care with Dr. Burnett. I would highlyreccomend her services.

I discovered a raised dark area on my arm and immediately made an appointment to see Dr. Burnett. I was extremely uneasy about the possible prognosis until I had the opportunity to be seen by Dr. Burnett. Within a few minutes ofmeeting with Dr. Burnett and discussing my concerns I was confident that I was getting the very best care. I have and shall continue to refer my family and friends to Dr. Burnett.

Dr. Burnett was pleasant, listened to and addressed all of my cocerns and explained treatments and procedures. I will recommend her to my friends and family.
