Dr. Melissa Caryn Bush, MD

I was referred to Dr Bush by Dr Kilpatrick at Cedars Sinai. I don’t know what I would have done without her care. I had a complicated pregnancy and had to deliver at Cedars so that I could receive treatment. Even though Dr Bush was not delivering my son, she gave me the best care and coordinated with my team at Cedars Sinai. She took great care of me and my son. She is the best of the best and I was honored to be her patient.

Dr Bush had exceeded my expectations for not only being there during a hard pregnancy, she made a point to be there for delivery although she wasn't scheduled.

Dr Bush has no bed side manners. I called up with a clarifying question about our baby's growth and she practically chewed my head off saying "No one has ever called her back after a visit to ask questions". She refused to answer any questions or concerns about baby and was more concerned about whether I thought she was competent.

I was sent to Dr. Bush by my midwife at 38 weeks. When I arrived we parked in the wrong parking lot which meant a long walk. When we entered the facility the elevators were being serviced so we took the stairs. I was taken in pretty quickly and then ambushed with insults due to very high blood pressure. I tried to explain that I had just walked quite a distance and took the stairs up and Dr. Bush laughed and begin patronize me. She instantly started to put me and my midwife down and began to poke fun at my choice for a birthing center water birth. She insisted that I get induced immediately. I left there crying as walked over to L&D. I called my midwife in tears. Luckily the Doctor that did deliver us that day was completely accommodating, kind and AMAZING! He wasn't surprised at all with how I was treated by Dr. Bush. He suggested I make a written complaint which I did. She may be well educated but well manner she is not. I was dumbfounded and appalled by her treatment to… me and will NEVER recommend her what-so-ever. And to be quite frank I'm not surprised that her experience scores are so low! And based on results they'll stay that low too.
