Dr. Melissa Ann Duart, MD

We met with her today because she was the floor doctor on my dads floor. He had fallen and hit his head 4 weeks ago and has been moved all over the hospital, he’s only 66. We met with her to ask about a feeding tube that we had been turning down because we were getting him to eat but with a few days of pnenomia we feel he needs help to regain his strength while his brain injury heals. Original neurologist said it would take 3 months to see how this brain damage would heal. Dr Duart, who’s NOT his doctor, told us she recommend us calling hospice instead instead of prolonging his life and trapping him in his body and that that’s what she’d do for her parents and she went on and on shaming us for our questions. We were appalled! The past week the social workers and doctors were helping us find a rehab place for him and Duart just came out of left field saying just let him die!
