Dr. Melissa Anne Gunter, MD

I attempted to have a conversation with Dr. Gunter about my needs and values as a patient and the type of care I prefer. She became very argumentative, repeatedly speaking over me, and was condescending and disrespectful in her tone. It was a very frustrating and disappointing appointment. I would not recommend seeing her.

She’s was very awful during my pregnancy which is why I switched providers. I feel that she’s used to pregnant women who have no issues during pregnancy. She didn’t want to do testing for infections that I was having symptoms for. I finally insisted on being tested and found that I had an infection. This could have led to me water breaking. Two other doctors in the practice made recommendations to me and asked if Dr. Gunter mentioned them to me. She didn’t. I immediately knew at that point that I chose the wrong OB. If I had stayed with her, I am convinced by her lack of care that my pregnancy would have ended horribly.
