Melissa Hynek, MSN, ARNP, WHNP-BC

Melissa Hynek, MSN, ARNP, WHNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women's Center Council Bluffs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Nebraska. She completed her Master of Science in nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She specializes in urinary incontinence.
Hynek previously worked as a women's health nurse practitioner at Metro OB-GYN as well as Bluffs OB-GYN and Incontinence Center. She also has obstetric nursing experience at two hospitals.
Hynek is committed to a holistic approach to care and developing a relationship with each of her patients.
"I love to be able to spend time with and get to know my patients. I feel it is so important to know about what's going on in their lives," she said. "I also believe education and trust are very important. I have always been and will always be honest with my patients. My goal is to make sure they receive the proper education in order to …empower them and help them make the best decisions."
Hynek enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son, two dogs and other family and friends. Her family has a long history in the restaurant business. Her father was a longtime co-owner of Caniglia's Venice Inn, and he continues to pass down his favorite recipes to his family.
