Dr. Melissa Barkon Jones, DO

If you are battling a mental illness and you really want help and a chance to feel better then to not go to her. She pushes pill after pill and makes addictions worse. She prescribes drugs like adderall and xanax and both at the same time to patients with addictive personalities. She does not take the time to listen to her patients to try to figure out what is actually happening with them. Prescribing these drugs leads to an even bigger drug problem. Causing people to need more and more of them and also going to harder street drugs when those fail to be enough any more. I highly recommend that nobody goes to her or allows their loved ones to go to her.

This doctor does little to help. She takes very little background, and will withhold your medicine if you fail to see her monthly or bimonthly, regardless of the health consequences. She does this to twist your arm to come in to see her, and does not care about your best interests. Clearly she does not have enough patients, and has to do this to retain business. She will make you wait a half hour or more at times while she sits up front and jokes with her staff and then barely spend any time with you, and she sits a long way across the room and crosses her arm. She offers no compassion, no support, and little to no medical advice. Avoid.
