Dr. Pendergrass is an excellent provider. She listens and responds respectfully. She isn't rushed in the room.

Dr. Pendergrass performed a hysterectomy on me in June 2022 and my experience with her was FANTASTIC. If you are looking for a physician who will listen to you, advocate for you, and take your pain seriously, I strongly recommend Dr. Pendergrass. I felt respected and heard throughout all my interactions with her. I had been living with bad period pain and was diagnosed with fibroids by a different doctor who referred me to her, but I figured that excruciating monthly pain was just the price of having a uterus and I should just live with it. During our first consultation Dr. Pendergrass encouraged me to not downplay the pain I was in and gave me facts and information that helped me decide to go forward with the hysterectomy, which was an option I hadn't even considered before talking to her. When I had concerns up until the morning of surgery, she took the time to discuss and answer my questions fully. The surgery went extremely smoothly, and the post-op pain at its worst was less… than half of what I had previously experienced every month. Dr. Pendergrass responded very quickly to all of my questions through the patient app both before and after surgery. She is honest, funny, she listened to me, and and she introduced me to treatment options I didn't know were available to me. My life is so much better and wish I would have seen her years ago!

I am forever grateful for Dr. Melissa Pendergrass. She has truly given me my life back. Since I was a teenager, I have had horrible periods with heavy bleeding and cramping. This past year, things escalated. I started having severe abdomen, pelvic and back pain. I was experiencing the pain on a daily basid and it was becoming debilitating. After reading about my symptoms, I believed I had endometriosis. I saw a different gyn who tried to put me on birth control pills after explaining a negative reaction I had to them. I needed to find a new doctor. Through my own research and through Nancy's nook an endometriosis group, I found Dr. Pendergrass. From the start, my experience with her and her office was incredible. She spent an hour with me talking over my history and reviewing my symptoms as well as doing a complete thorough exam. We discussed all the options and decided together that surgery was the next step. I had laparoscopic excision of endometriosis 6 weeks ago. My hospital and… surgery experience were wonderful. Dr. Pendergrass called me the day before to go over any questions. She came in before and after the surgery and called me the next day. The surgery was successful. I recovered so quickly and I truly believe it was her exceptional surgical technique and expertise that made everything go so well. I am pain free for the first time in over a year. I have had two follow up appointments since and we are both so happy with the results. She is truly the most kind doctor I have encountered. She has the knowledge and surgical expertise to handle endometriosis. She provides a well rounded approach to the complicated condition. I would choose her a thousand times over.

Dr. Pendergrass is hands-down the best GYN I have ever had. She heard my concerns about any suggested treatment plans and never tried to guilt me into treatment (like my previous GYN). During the diagnostic laparoscopy, which Dr. Pendergrass performed, she helped me feel at ease every step of the way. She called me the day before to check in on my anxiety. I got very anxious right before the anesthesia was administered and she held my hand and walked me through a light-hearted and funny dream I should have when I am out. After the surgery, she personally called me several times (at different intervals) to make sure I was on track. I cannot sing her praises enough. If you can make your concerns heard, Dr. Pendergrass can deliver.

Dr. Pendergrass is one in a million. I came to her from a previous, not so great Gynecologist experience and so many previous trips to the ER. I came to Dr. Pendergrass seeking a second opinion on what my next steps should be. She was amazing! I was able to get in, go over my medical history including my four fibroids as well as my Adenomyosis and Endometriosis, we scheduled to have a surgery. My surgery was a little under 2 months ago. Dr. Pendergrass performed a robotic assisted, laparoscopic total hysterectomy and appendectomy on me. She not only completed the procedures I needed in one surgery, but she also was able to see that I do not in fact have endometriosis. I was misdiagnosed by other Dr.'s 13 years ago. My fibroids and adenomyosis are now gone and I am healing really well from surgery. My in office appointments with Dr. Pendergrass were not only informative but her staff, especially her wonderful Nurse Katarina who is professional and very sincere. I… couldn't be more happy with my overall experience with Dr. Pendergrass and staff.

This Dr. is a joke. She saw me twice, scheduled me for surgery and then cancelled weeks before surgery after I traveled 5 hours both ways to "see her" or more realistically be humiliated by her with my husband sitting there, he felt he had to restrain himself she was so mean and horrible with me.. She cancelled, because of my weight in my belly area, I have Endo, Adeno and PCOS. Very UNPROFESSIONAL She saw me before the surgery... Very weird to set it up have a date, the hospital calling me... I'm going to OSHU now.

I recently had a complete hysterectomy performed by Dr. Pendergrass. During my visit prior to surgery, Dr. Pendergrass was extremely thorough and informative, while also asking for my opinion. After surgery, she was just as informative and I felt and still feel she truly cares about my health and well being. It is just over two weeks after my surgery and I'm back at work full time and feeling good. I cannot say enough about Dr. Pendergrass. She is professional, compassionate, and excellent at what she does!!

I had a total hysterectomy and Dr. Pendergrass made the who process so easy and was very reassuring. I had struggled for years with heavy, long periods. I tried an ablation with another doctor, but that only helped for about a year, and then my heavy periods returned again. Dr. Pendergrass was able to get me scheduled for surgery within a few weeks, and my recovery was not that long at all! She listens and discusses your concerns. Highly recommend Dr. Pendergrass.

I was referred to doctor Pendergrass because I was experiencing extreme menstrual pain each month; cramps that lasted 3 weeks out of the month. My quality of life was terrible and most days I didn't even want to get out of bed. The other doctors I visited weren't interested in a solution and only prescribe me pain medication. Dr Pendergrass did more than take my issues seriously. After ruling out several other issues it was suspected that I had endometriosis. My surgery was schedule only a few weeks later. The doctor explained EVERYTHING to my husband and I. We never felt uncomfortable or scared. After surgery I healed extremely quick. My menstrual cycles became normal. I actually cried tears of joy during the first month because of how easy it was. THANK YOU DOCTOR!!! You saved my life and I'll be forever grateful. PS. Bonus- We just discovered we're now pregnant. (Only 3 months post surgery.) We had struggled with this for years and we only have Dr Pendergrass to thanks for… this!!
