Dr. Melissa Ponder, MD

Dr. Melissa Ponder attended to me in the ER at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio recently. She was very kind and understanding of my physical and emotional stress with the sudden heart situation. She performed her duties with care, efficiency and explained things to me that were going on. I'm very appreciative of the care she provided and was fortunate she was in the ER at the time I was brought in by ambulance.

I’ve seen Dr Ponder twice this year in Methodist Main Hosp ED for chest pain. I have very complex medical issues and I was suddenly told I have coronary artery disease with my small vessels completely blocked and inoperable. I’m adjusting to that, but when I got pain in my chest and between shoulder blades, my Dr and husband told me to go to the ER. She was wonderfully compassionate, patient and thorough. She was also very understanding about my stress with this changed Life event. Her patience, listening and responsiveness are outstanding. She is an amazing asset for emergency medicine in the area and I hope she stays here. I feel we are very lucky to have her in the area!
