Dr. Melissa Diane Reigle, MD

I made an appointment with Dr. Reigle, as her in-office partner came so highly recommended. I prepared a list of my medications, supplements and other ways of dealing with my urinary concerns. I also prepared a timeline with my medical history of this problem, including having seen 4 doctors previously. She speed-read my documents, told me to get undressed for an exam - when I'd asked the nurse, she didn't know whether that would be required! When I was on the table, Dr. R. just rushed right into the exam, not providing instructions prior to doing them, and not reassuring me of what was happening. She rushed through the exam, and told me to get dressed. Her parting advice was to use a hair dryer in the afflicted (damp) area, both morning and evening! I was rushed out of the office, and had to ask multiple times for the doctor to return and answer the questions I still had. She only answered the one question, regarding not knowing the cause of my recurring UTIs, and only said… that they would let me know the results of my sample's culture. She then rushed off, and I was very very disappointed. I wanted to discuss my ailment and possible treatment options, and whether what I was currently doing was helpful, neutral or harmful. If she's in such a hurry, perhaps she's overscheduled or should look into surgery only and not office practice. I will not be returning here. I am very disappointed. I do not advise anyone using this office for their medical care!

Dr. Reigle was thorough, efficient, knowledgeable, and very polite. She was kind and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. I would confidently recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Reigle isn't you're typical doctor. She takes the time to talk to you, unlike most doctors these days. I felt like she genuinely cared about my condition and treatment. After diagnosis/treatment she hand wrote notes for me, along with printed forms, and a referral to an oncologist who also rates very high. There's a reason she has so many good reviews. Well worth the hour drive it took me to get to her office. I'd absolutely recommend her to a family member or friend who was in need of a urologist.

Doctor didn't even examine me. When I read my take home notes I found she didn't listen to me very well because all the details were wrong. She called me on phone was absolutely rude and acted like I was wasting her time. I would not recommend.

Dr. Reigel is a kind caring physician! She has always taken as much time as needed to answer all my questions. She's always explains exactly what needs to be done and how she's going to do it. Also her staff has always been excellent. And I have been to every one of her offices. If you need a urologists she is the one for you!

Absolutely no bedside manner, very rude and condescending. There is no reason why she has to make snarky comments!

It is sad because Dr. Reigle should be a good doctor, but my experience is so much like what you are reading here. Long waits, the window is kept shut. The office is always jammed and backed up. Yes, definitely you need an early AM appt.; like be the first one of the day! This is at the Mayfield Hts., Office by the way. She does send you for tests to "confirm" her diagnosis. I got stuck two years in a row paying them off; and I backed out of any surgery with her anyway. You can't bring up too much as she does not linger whatsoever with her appointments. You can hear her "clopping" down the hall both coming and going, so when she is ready to go, she will walk out and not even ask you have any more questions. If you have a simple urine check or something basic, you may be okay, but for anything complex, your full problem may not be probably addressed.

The office staff is really poor, they do like to keep that window shut and you are to wait until they open it for you. Always get an early AM appt. or you will be waiting a long time to be seen. Also, watch if you have a high deductible insurance plan, the doctor sends you for expensive urology tests to confirm what she strongly suspects you have and tells you, and then you are stuck paying for them. Don't do it unless you really think you need surgery with her. I got stuck paying off an expensive test she ordered and then nothing was done after that anyway. I think she hurries through the appointments and if she doesn't agree with you, you'll know it.

I was quite impressed with Dr. Reigel. She made me feel comfortable. Took time to discuss my concerns and got down to the root of the problem vs. treating me with antibiotics over and over again. I highly recommend her! =) The office staff were very courteous and helpful! I felt like it was how doctoring used to be back in the day vs. long wait, short, rushed visit we so often get these days. I saw her in Chardon.
