Dr. Melissa Snyder Richardson, DO

Dr. Richardson never makes you feel rushed. She is patient, thorough, clearly explains the issues at hand and the plans to solve them. I always feel heard and respected. The outcomes have been positive. She is a skilled surgeon! I feel fortunate to have her on my healthcare team!

Dr Richardson performed my surgery in 2010. She was very thorough at explaining the process and what I should expect. My visits were never rushed and I felt she spent as much time as I needed to answer any and all questions.

My visits with Dr. Richardson have always been been completely professional, very well managed and, most importantly, handled with care. Bottom line, she fixed what was "broken". Dr. Richardson is a very competent surgeon and good communicator. Highly recommended to me and now by me.

When I first met Melissa Richardson at my consultation, she seemed like a perfectly capable surgeon for performing a simple outpatient procedure. I could not have been more wrong. When I had complications following my surgery she was completely cold hearted, non empathetic, and unhelpful. She spent almost no time with me and during follow up appointments, did not explain things well, and made me feel as if the complications were my fault. To top it off, afterward, when I saw two other surgeons, they both told me that the wrong procedure/method was performed and that that was the cause of my post surgical complications. Incredibly frustrating and upsetting experience.

Great Surgeon. Perfection is her game.

I was referred to her for a breast biopsy approximately three years ago. She lost the results. Two years ago I underwent a mastectomy (double). She did a terrible job

She loves the Lord. Very good surgeon. Best doctor I've had. Tells it like it is.

Expecting no difficulty and finding this physician apparently capable at the pre-surgical exam and evaluation, I went into the surgery with no concerns. Only later did I come to realize that was very naive of me. She was one of the least caring and most unconcerned doctors I have ever run into. She was not available in the hospital after the surgery when there were difficulties., And at the check-up later in her office when I discussed the problems I had, she placed the blame on the hospital and their personnel instead of assuming the role she had played, and, at the very least, apologizing. I would not recommend her to anyone! Wish a half-star rating was available!
