Dr. Melissa Anne Schloneger, MD

I had a stroke in my 20s. Pain was a symptom of the stroke. I complained about blurred vision, slurred speech (which she herself could hear), I complained about a weakness on the right side of my body. And do you know what she did? She chalked it all up to me being a drug addict putting on an act to try and get pain medicine. I guess due to my age.. I don't know, because I don't take prescription medicine once-so-ever and that is by choice. She did nothing for me. She just sent me on my way. This allowed for the stroke to progress. It also made it harder for me to get proper testing, because the doctors I saw afterwards kept saying "If you were having a stroke or another type of brain issue the hospital would have picked up on it." Thankfully it was a burst vessel that healed on it's own over time, because it took a total of 3 years to convince someone to do an MRI. The MRI then showed what appeared to be a 3 year old brain lesion which the doctor said the most likely cause would be… either a massive stroke or a traumatic brain injury. If I got help when I went to the hospital instead of being wrote off I wouldn't have suffered nearly as much deficits. When I saw her my deficits was a heavy right side, slurred speech, and blurred vision, but the lack of care made the symptoms advance into stages of long term and short term memory loss, brocha's ashpasia, inability to cook, clean, read, or answer simple questions like age, sex, relationship status, location, etc. Thankfully I did not give up on myself when I couldn't get adequate care from this doctor or the doctors that followed. I spent the last so many years putting myself through physical and cognitive therapy without the assistance of medical providers. I'm much better than before, but I could be in a lot better position if Melissa Anne Schloneger treated me with the proper and adequate care.

Words can not even describe her diagnosis and the pain that has been afflicted because of her decision to not properly run test on her patient and listen to what is wrong. Instead she looks at the past history of the patient and evaluates her findings from there and sends them home with a very wrong diagnosis. You go to the hospital because of a urgent situation and you expect to get the best treatment. Not in this situation at all.

Bedside manner was very poor, she was very rude.

Rude and extremly unprofessional! Ill never go back to Soin Med center due to her treatment and the staff!
