Dr. Melissa Anne Sokol-Keith, MD

I like Dr. Sokol-Keith a lot. She seems to be very knowledgeable. I'd give her a 5 in that area. However, every time I go to her, the visit is very rushed. She's speaking before I have time to finish an explanation. And, although the sign on the office door says to" be sure to talk to your doctor about all your concerns before you leave," I've been told to make another appointment if I ask about something other than the reason I gave for making the appointment. Hence, I too often leave thinking the office is uncaring.

I? have been a patient for over ten years Malisa has always been straight forward with me, as to my diabetes. Doesn’t hesitate to setup visits with supporting doctors for nutrition etc.

In general, I think she is a good physician. She speaks VERY loudly in the office and there is very little sound proofing and no white noise machines. If you see her, know that anyone within earshot of a shouting umpire whether behind closed doors or not will know your business. I heard the entire visit of another patient who was actually in a different hallway. I have had very little that has not been routine but it is always clear that she is in a hurry, appears to want to check off a few things and get out. The one or two times I did raise issues, my discussion was brief and she was very dismissive but with little information. Her approach often leaves me simply not bringing up anything but what she wants to talk about. On my last visit I waited over 45 minutes in the exam room and she spent maybe 2 minutes and barely examined the area of concern. Apparently I was the "make the time back" patient.

I really like Dr. Soko-Keith, I am not one to visit a doc. more then maybe once a year for my physical, and she has always made me feel that I was the only patient, she pay attention to what I was saying, and answered fully to my questions. I like the staff!

She is a very nice person, but wouldn't listen to me about how I felt and if I brought in anything from the internet to back up what I felt, it disturbed her. I had very high blood pressure and after a year, I had to find another doctor to treat it.
