I was scheduled an appointment with her instead of my regular, REAL doctor. I needed to be seen for an annual visit due to a biologic medicine prescribed. During the visit, I related a different gastro issue. She asked me a couple of questions, ordered lab work, later sent me the results of one test related to my biologic prescription through their patient portal, and I never heard from her again about the other issue. At the time of my appointment, I needed a new prescription for my biologic, which required a preauthorization. She sent both the preauth request and the prescription to my insurance company a few days before my appointment and kept telling me she submitted my prescription long after the preauth was approved. It took almost a month to get my medicine when it should have taken a week or less because she kept sending my prescription to my insurance company and (spoiler alert) insurance companies do not dispense prescriptions. Do yourself a favor, if offered an appointment… with her at Ohio Gastroenterology Group, refuse it and ask for a real healthcare provider.
