Dr. Melodie Jean Mope, MD

I think Dr Mope is great. Whenever I’m in her office I feel that she really listens to what I say and she has great empathy. I’ve been seeing her since she started practicing.

Dr Mope called me at 7:30am one morning. I thought she was calling because I had called her office 3weeks prior with extreme, and I mean throwing up, can’t see, extreme migraines after going to the hospital with a diversaticulitas attack and being sent from her office to the ER the day before. She was out of town. The office, which was very nice the first time I went, said she wasn’t available, and told me to go to the ER if I was in so much pain. All I wanted was a prescription change or advise on what to do about the pain. I knew it was the pain meds effecting me so bad. I just wanted a suggestion on what else I could do for the pain without the hard pain meds. They told me they couldn’t suggest anything. I asked if there was an oncall dr.. The nurse called me back and told me instead of being a pain I should stop calling their office and deal with it or go to the ER. I didn’t want to spend the day in the ER and rack up another emergency bill. I finally called the Gastroinologist who… told me to stop all meds except the antibiotics immediately cause pain meds make it worse and I was having an allergic reaction. The office of Dr Mope told me the Dr would call me back on Monday. 3weeks later, Dr Mope did call me (this being the 7:30am wake up call) I thought she was calling to check on me...turns out, Dr Mope had a bad review about “all she does is send people to the ER and Specialist”. I was shocked! At that time I Had Not written any reviews! If Dr Mope had not sent me to the Gastroinologist, I would be dealing with cancer, not precancerous! I was happy she sent me to a specialist 3 months prior! All the reviews about taking 6 weeks to get in..So true! The only office person there that was nice was fired over the review which I falsely got blamed for because she called me and apologized for how the nurse spoke to me! The nurse is more concerned with doing her push ups for each client then she is with being patient friendly! And how dare Dr Mope call and blame a patient for making a bad review when it was anonymous only because I was supposedly the only patient she’s ever sent to the ER. I find that hard to believe since that was her staffs recommendation on three occasions when I called and they couldn’t get me in for 6 weeks...on a sick visit!! Just so we are clear...this is Stacey C! I told her if I put a review, she’d have a name for it! I have a fabulous Dr now and am very glad to have the new drs professional support! Keep looking if you needing professional, helpful care. This office is only good on the initial meeting!!

Dr. Mope covers all bases. I feel like I’m getting a complete examination. I am never rushed and I am always asked if I have any questions. Her staff is also very efficient and everyone is personable and caring.

She doesn't diagnose you. She just says go to the ER or sends you to a specialist.

To the comment below regarding insulin. We had called the patients pharmacy and different insulin’s were called in. PT was advised to get the formulary that her insurance covers. Different insurances allow different formularies and it is a pts responsibility to get that from their insurance. Also, PT was advised to let us know if there were any additional issues so we could address it immediately.

I wish she would care more for me as her patient, my pharmacy has been calling her for four days for an insulin she prescribed and insurance does not cover it, but they suggested another one and instead of calling the pharmacy she calls me, who is the professional? I don't know what insulin is best for me, I don't feel confident

Dr. Mope is one of a kind! Old enough to have great experience, young enough to know the latest! She really looks out for your best and is always courtesy of your time. She is normally waiting for me, and I am always early! Also, my daughters 17 and 20 are really comfortable talking with her.

Praise is to be given to Dr. Mope for her friendly personality, compassion, professionalism, her knowledge and her flawless direction down the road of great health.

Great experience in the office. The staff there are so helpful and friendly and Dr Mope spent time with me addressing all concerns. Highly recommend
