I have been a patient of Dr. Nelson for nine months. She is very thorough in making a diagnosis, and is very concerned about my well-being

Rude and disrespectful. Doesn't listen to patients. When you say you would like to get a second opinion she scoffs and says it's not necessary. When you insist she says she will only refer you to another doctor in the clinic. I have no faith in her and her diagnosis. I don't feel like what she says I have is what I have. Don't do it. Don't goto her. She's also always late and expects you to accommodate her schedule.

I drive 80 miles to see her. She is very thorough & starts your medication options slowly & reviews ALL your choices with you. She always takes all the time you need & makes sure you understand. She depends on blood work & tests & seems to me to be very knowledgable & concerned. She has called to check how I'm doing & give me test results, which shows her concern. I think she is one of the best.

I have been a patient of Dr Knauf (Dr. Nelson now) for about 6 years now after being treated by my last rheumatologist of 22 years, she had big shoes to fill. She is very good, very supportive in my needs. Everyone is different in their disease process and I feel she sees me as an individual. I have had RA for 28 years and she let's me make the decision for what is best for me, And Furthermore She Educates me on important issues either it be medication or other problems I need to assess. I do recommend her for RA patients.

Dr. Knauf leaped to a diagnosis purely on unsubstantied hunch...and was wrong. Also, the office is very difficult to deal with. I drove all the way in from 70 miles away and was 10 minutes late. They told me that they couldn't "fit me in" for an hour-and-a half. She needs more experience and should control her front office better.
