They have taken care of me for over 25 years. Love Dr Blackett and his staff. I hate to see the clinic close.

Best OB/GYN I've ever had and I've been to every major practice in Memphis.

Put me at ease in SDS.

The one time I met Dr. Blackett, he seemed fairly nice. However, his staff is another story all together. Having paperwork completed for work is a complete nightmare. I requested to have some STD paperwork completed by the staff because Dr. Blackett had taken me off work for a week. Because I decided to transfer my care to another doctor after I was released to go back to work by Dr. Blackett, his staff would not complete the paperwork. They returned the incomplete paperwork to me via the mail with no explanation as to why. When I called to inquire as to why it was returned incomplete, the front desk girl, Tonya, said that because I was transferring my care, the new doctor would need to complete the paperwork. Really, lady??? They charged my credit card $35, and when I asked about this, the same Tonya said that she had included in the envelope with the paperwork a receipt showing where they had credited back my credit card - A COMPLETE LIE!!!! There was no receipt in the envelope. … This experience has been horrific. If you can avoid having to endure the incompetence of his staff, please do so!!! Go somewhere else!!!! Also, I question the thoroughness of the care of I received. I provided a urine sample every time I went for an appointment and not once did they tell me that I had a UTI. I had to go the emergency room to find out I had one.

Horrible place, been sick and throwing up for weeks, have 2 diff neseau meds and not working., been in and out of the hospital due to naseau and vomiting,.First time I had to call the on call dr he didnt call me till late that evening when I called early in the a.m. Now I was suppose to get new med to stop throwing up yesterday and they failed to call it in. Now I call the on call dr again and he refuses to call me in suppositories like i was suppose to get called in yesterday, He says go back to e.r. again. I simply cannot go to the e.r every single day and sit there for hours on end when I have a 3 year old at home also. This is the worst place I have ever been to and worst pregnancy experience.

I'VE BEEN A PATIENT OF DR. BLACKETT'S SINCE 1995. HE PERFORMED MY TUBLIGATION, RECTAL SPHINSTER, CO-PO, AND HYSTERECTOMY. EACH TIME THAT I MAY HAVE BEEN HOSPITALIZED DR. BLACKETT ALWAYS CALLED ME AT HOME TO FOLLOW UP WITH ME, AND HE ALWAYS RETURNED PHONE CALLS . DR. BLACKETT IS A CARING DOCTOR AND HE ALWAYS MAKES TIME TOO ASK WHAT ''YOUR CONCERNS ARE''. IF THERE HAPPENS TO BE A WAIT IN THE OFFICE; PEOPLE WITH RUDE COMMENTS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT DR. BLACKETT MAY BE RUNNING LATE FROM DELIVERING A BABY OR WHATVER MAY HAVE SUDDENLY HAPPENED.. BUT TO CLARIFY IT, THAT THIS IS A DOCTOR THAT KNOWS HIS MEDICAL PROFFESSIONALISM AND IT'S WORTH THE WAIT TO SEE A CARING DOCTOR, WHO IS TRUELY INTO HIS PATIENTS AND WORK. THANK YOU AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DOCTOR BLACKETT AND EXCELLENT STAFF....''THUMBS UP TO YOU ALL.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is an excellent doctor!!!

Dr.Blackett has delivered 2 of my children. I am expecting a 3rd and dont have plans on letting anyone else do the job. He could be friendlier but thats not what im there for i just want a healthy baby and safe deliver. He showed great concern before and after the pregnancy. He was very supportive in my weight lose after awards as i was extremely over weight. He's very serious and firm but in a sweet way. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but he has alot of patients, delivers babies, and does OB/GYN surgeries. So you have to been patient. On days like that he has wonderful nurse practicners that get the job done. I love him.

Dr. Blackett is a very professional doctor. He has delivered all of my neices and nephews and is about to deliver my first baby. He has been the OBGYN doctor in my family for years. I started going to him for my regular checkups before I became pregnant. He has always showed that he care about how I take care of myself. I am diabetic and he has done nothing but make sure I stay on the right track. He is a wonderful and excellent doctor and I wouldn't ask for anybody better.

First let me state, he is an OB/GYN. A Doctor for women who are mostly all pregnant; yet they do NOT allow you to bring any other children you may have with you! No children allowed in the office! So you have to go out of your way to find someone to babysit your your kid/s just to go to the appointments!His bedside manner is Horrible! He acts as if he has better things to do than be there at the office tending to his patients. He rushes when he sees you, and never takes the time to see if you have questions... more less take the time to answer any!And if you are a patient of his, hope & pray that you have good health & no complications during your pregnancy! Because not only will he take his sweet effin time prescribing you what you need to take care of the issues, but it's obvious he could care less about it! I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Then he tells me I have to go to a 3 hour class in order to get my meter & supplies. Which took 2 weeks by the way before my class was… scheduled. Then when I explain I have had this before & know how to take care of it, and that at the moment I have no transportation... I get told I have to go or I'll be dismissed as their patient! REALLY?! IM 32 WEEKS PREGNANT AT THE TIME, AND YOU'RE GONNA DISMISS ME FOR REASONS I CAN NOT HELP?! NEVERMIND THE HEALTH OF MY UNBORN CHILD, I GUESS, RIGHT?!So I finally go to this class; which took paying someone 30 bucks for the ride, as well as my husband taking time off work without pay to watch our son for 3 hours! I had an appointment with Dr. Blacket the next day. I told him I needed a prescription for the supplies to the meter they gave me. Apparently he cant right a prescription correctly. Because not only did I have to practically force his hand in righting me one, but the pharmacy could not fill it cause it was written incorrectly. Then on Friday they called him to clarify it, so they could fill my stuff for me... He had "Call them back" which he never did! So now I have no way of testing my blood sugar levels all weekend! I already went two weeks without it at first. Now that I finally have a meter, I still cant test my sugar thanks to this idiot doctor!And it has not just been my diabetes that he has continuously messed up on & failed to take care correctly. Meanwhile Im stuck with this place cause of how far along I am, and Im very worried about my baby's health! Do Not go to this doctor! He is the worst I have ever been to!The nurses are nice & they are the only thing that helps you keep your sanity about the place. But I would never trust this doctor! Oh, and one last thing... He does NOT deliver you baby! you spend all that time goin to him, only to have someone else deliver the baby! Which in my case, thank God for that! I'd rather the doctor on staff in the Labor & delivery be the one who does it anyway, cause as I said before, I do not trust Dr.Blacket!
