Dr. Melvin Standford Farland, MD

I love doctor Farland. My daughter have been seeing him since she was 2 years old. The clinic changed her pcm and I had to call them to switch it back. I live in Suffolk Virginia and I refuse to go to another doctor locally. I will make that drive to Virginia Beach just to see him. My daughter was very sick couple years ago and I kept going to see other physicians there at Oceana clinic and nobody could figure out her illness, until one day we got see to Farland and he’s been our favorite ever since. He is caring, listens to your problems and Offers the best patient care. My daughter adores dr Farland. I hear that he’s no longer in the practice and if anyone knows where he is practicing please let me know. We are heartbroken lol

He's awesome. I don't know why he works for the Navy. It limits what he can do. I wish he'd go to a civilian clinic. I'd get TRICARE Standard and follow him if he did. My 4 year old daughter has him as her primary care manager too (well she did until the CLINIC changed it). She loves him and she doesn't like ANYONE.By the way I have multiple sclerosis so I see doctors frequently. He's made sure I've gotten a lot of my problems taken care of regardless of the red tape.

Worst Dr. I have ever been to. He was very unprofessional, no white Dr. coat and was dressed like a thug. Attitude seemed annoyed I was there and my answers to his questions were disregarded and brushed off as inacurate answers. His bed side manner is non existent and overall impression of a doctor is poor.I would recommend this doctor if you want some gray hair or looking to raise your blood pressure.
