Dr. Melvin A Gonzalez has a rude way of talking to the patients and their family members. When they ask him questions he has a way of making you sorry you even asked. His information to the family is (it is what it is) how is that any way to communicate with patient and family. Blood Pressure keep dropping and we are not getting any answers today it is down to 27. Have call his office several time and still no call back.

I made an appointment for a routine stress test. The only stress I experienced during the procedure was the lack of interaction between Dr. Gonzales and myself. After being “prepped” by a very competent staff, I was told that the physician would chose which method to use in completing my test. But when Dr. Gonzales arrived, it was as if I wasn’t in the room or I was an unnecessary interruption to his day. He didn’t introduce himself and he didn’t explain the procedure he had selected. Because the test called for certain isotopes to be used, it was necessary for me to remain for observation after the procedure. These medications can cause symptoms such as nausea and headaches. While I rested after the test was completed, Dr. Gonzalez returned to the area two or three times to see other patients. He walked within 5 feet of where I was resting and never stopped once to ask how I was feeling. Finally I stopped him to question why the procedure for the test I expected was… changed. His answer was brusk and arrogant. His body language indicated that my questions were a nuisance because “It’s not important for you to know.”

Dr Gonzalez was dismissive and condescending. He has forgotten he became a doctor to help people. His bed side manner is horrible. I left 3 messages with his nurse to get test results and get questions answered. After no response, they begrudgingly made an appointment for me. At which time he made me feel liked I was wasting his time although I did pay to see him. Don't make an appointment unless you like being talked down to

All appropriate tests were done and I was very pleased with the follow-up as well.

Dr. Gonzales was both helpful and informative regarding my care

I was examined and told him that I had chest pain at rest He said that was OK b/c I didn't have it upon exertion I googled that response and answer was opposite. I saw another cardiologist who did an angiogram and replace an occluded stent!
