Dr. Melvin Medlock

I have been a registered nurse for 22 years. Mostly critical care in a hospital setting, but in the last 5 years I have been going in and out of MD offices with patients. I must say I was very impressed with Dr. Medlock's professional approach, the time he took with my patient, the amount of education he provided and his bedside manner A+. Reminds me of the doctors I worked with when I graduated nursing school. The good ones! He was a confident, humble provider who listened to my patient and didn’t seem rushed. This is how medicine is supposed to be practiced. I would definitely take my family to see him. I don't usually write these reviews but I felt lead to. AMAZING! What’s even more amazing is that everyone in the office had a smile on their face, they were friendly, and seemed happy in their work environment. It’s rare to find a practice like this. WAY TO GO SOUTHEASTERN SURGICAL!

After my hernia mesh surgery I had pain around an incision. My original surgeon told me repeatedly I healed fine and nothing was wrong. Dr Medlock was open to my opinions on what I felt was wrong and he explained clearly some options other than surgery. As no progress came of local anesthetic injections and waiting to see if symptoms improved, I was scheduled for surgery in the same week as my appointment. Surgery went very smoothly and he has tremendously improved my quality of life. He found a nerve that was trapped in scar tissue. I'm only 3 days out from surgery but that constant pain is gone. Just recovering from surgery. One medium incision and some steri strips covering it. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing someone to believe you when no one else will.

The procedure went very well and Dr.Medlock was a great doctor. He explained everything in detail to me.

Dr. Medlock really helped my legs to feel normal again. I really enjoyed working with him to help with my varicose veins.
