Dr. Melvin A Yeshnik, MD

Lack of empathy toward news about recent loss of a child he delivered. He saud sorry and immediately moved on but seemed more focused on his retirement. Happy to move on now that I had this bad experience.

Dr Yeshnik delivered our 3rd and I couldn’t be happier with his delivery. He helped my body deliver without tearing and was so kind and professional. He has been my OB this entire pregnancy with my 4th but due to a recent move I switched to a closer office. Realizing I do not like the new office as much as dr Yeshnik I decided the drive was worth it to switch back. Upon calling them they told me I was not able to come back to Yeshnik’s office until after this pregnancy. I just don’t understand how my doctor could see me up through 30 weeks of pregnancy, and tell me he can no longer deliver my baby. I loved this office and everyone that worked there. But i don’t believe they truly have their patients best interest at heart. ??

Dr. Yeshnik is a wonderful doctor. He's kind, caring, sensitive and patient. From routine GYN care to pregnancy, labor and delivery. Dr. Y knows what he's doing and does it well. I highly recommend him as a doctor and feel lucky to have found him.

I left Dr. Barnett when he joined Capital Women's Care. A friend recommended Dr. Yeshnik to me and I was comfortable right away. Dr. Yeshnik helped me through an emotional miscarriage to the birth of my rainbow baby. He was willing to listen to me and answer any questions I had. He also helped put my fears at ease. I was never pressured into a C-Section as others had mentioned. I went into labor naturally and delivered vaginally on my own time as well. Dr. Yeshnik was there right away when the hospital notified him I was in labor. He stayed until almost midnight to make sure that he himself would deliver my baby. I'm forever grateful for the recommendation and his ability to listen to my concerns and treat me as a person and not just a number. The staff at Dr. Yeshnik's office are just as wonderful. The techs, nurses and administrative staff all take there time and treat each person with respect. Appointments are easy to schedule and flexible if needed. Once again, lucky to have found… Dr. Yeshnik and highly recommend him! I will be using him for as long as I can!

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Yeshnik when delivering my first child. I was pressured into an induction just days after my due date and then told I needed a C-section just a few hours into active labor. Both myself and the baby were doing well and tolerating labor but time was not offered to me. After my C-section the nurses made a comment that he was off the weekend and that's why I wasn't allowed the time to labor naturally. He stole from me something that can never be returned.

Appointment was easy to make and actually got an actual person answering the phone who was very helpful. Was recommended by a friend and I absolutely feel Dr. Yeshnik was one of the best Doctors I've encountered. I was able to get an appointment within a week of my call. . I was able to speak with Dr. Yeshnik first before my exam and got to speak with him in his office. I had a lot of questions and all of them were answered. I wasn't rushed. After my visit, I got home and realized I forgot to mention a few things and he returned my call before the end of the day. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. Convenient location.

I loved Dr. Yeshnik in office for visits during my pregnancy. I never had to wait for an appointment more than 5-10 minutes and his office staff is absolutely wonderful. I will say that I was pressured to have a cesarean section from the very beginning of my pregnancy, and my opinion of Dr. Y definitely changed when I was laboring. Dr. Yeshnik was very impatient with me and wanted me to produce a baby within a few hours of being induced- not what is natural for a woman's body. He became rude and short with me when I declined to have an unnecessary C section. For this reason, I will not be returning to his practice for future visits & pregnancies. He is a great surgeon- not a great advocate for natural births.

Dr. Yeshnik, is by far the best GYN I've ever had. He takes his time, listens to any concerns you may have, and makes you feel comfortable. The staff is so wonderful and nice, it's so refreshing to see happy faces greet you and make you feel like your important, so friendly! There's a ease of appointments, and EVERYTIME I had an appointment I waited no longer than 5 mins to go to a room. 100% happy!!!!

Took his time answering my questions. Did not rush me. Returned my call the same day. My second visit the Doctor had to leave for an emergency and was more than willing to reschedule at my convenience. Staff was great.
