Dr. Menaka Prakasam, MD

The doctor genuinely cares about the patient’s health. She took enough time to examine and asks questions about the past to know my health better. I did not feel rushed. I was treated as a person and not patient No. x. I liked her advice of how to improve the health via exercise, eating the right food and use medicine only if that does not work. Throughout the exam, she was polite. She explained the things clearly. She has good bedside manners.

She is very narrow minded when it comes to treating certain chronic diseases

I am not sure what it would take to get this doctor to listen. She seems to have no patience and does not take any time to actually listen to the issue and have a discussion. There is no excuse for brushing off obvious symptoms and not being proactive. I would not recommend this doctor. If she has not heard of something she will brush it off as not accurate instead of having any kind of discussion.

Went to see her for the first time for a physical. She is very kind and takes time to talk with you, I found her helpful in planning care for myself. I felt like she spent time understanding my medical concerns and addressing them as well as making a plan of action. She is young and up to date on current medical practices. I would defiantly see her again for any further medical concerns and future check ups.
