Dr. Mercedes Valencia Payne, MD

I had the unfortunate opportunity of meeting this family nurse practitioner, Meaghan Payne, when I was admitted at Abrazo West Campus Hospital in Goodyear, Az. My pulmonary doc did not want me released, the hospitals administration calls me on my room phone to inform me, they retain the right as to when a patient is released. Their family nurse partitioner decided I was to be released, never mind my MD, DNG-C doctor did not agree, it was apparent he did not agree, pulmonary came in gave me a treatment and the hospital sent in a other of their FNP's to let me know I was being released, then the hospital admin calls, so I got dressed and left. Running a low grade fever 100.4, my oxygen level was 92%, but I am to go home. Calling my insurance manage, TODAY! The WORST!

Dr Payne treats everyone like they're a pull head looking for narcotics. Don't waste your time.

Each time I've ever to "dr" Payne, she has been nothing but rude towards me. Has treated me like a crack head looking to get high! Recently I went in with severe pains in my stomach and my upper right back, nausea, vomiting, cramping to the point I cry, watery to hard diarrhea, bad reflux I've never had and a few other things. She didn't want to talk about that though. She wanted to talk about my back, which I told her that's not the reason I was there that day ( I have osteoporosis, degenerate disc disease, scolios and my T12, L1 and L2 vertebrae and spine are metal) she began to ask if I still hurt and I replied of course I do. I had done pt, had sixteen injections in my back and a chiropractor and gotten no relief at all. She wants to say to me "no, you hurt because you aren't getting no narcotics like you want" I felt my blood began to boil! She dismissed me like she does! Here it is three maybe four months later in still in pain I go to see my obgyn dr and he scheduled me for an… ultra sound to see what's up. In that time HE found a cyst on my ovaries and something going on with my gallbladder. All this time I've been in pain because "dr" Payne wants to accuse people. Don't waste your time or your money. Find an actual dr who cares about their patients! Even the receptionist has an attitude! In case they forgot, we are the ones paying their bills!

Best physician I have ever seen! Very knowledgeable, and you can tell she really cares to get people well and keep them there. I will never go anywhere else!

Dr Payne, despite her hilarious name, is painless. She has been in family practice her whole life and it shows. She is energetic, a great listener and firm. She expects you to fully participate in your health care which is refreshing. Would highly recommend her.
