Dr. Meredith Kathleen Gray, MD

I'm a Trans person who was scheduled to have a Hysterectomy with Dr Gray through the Gender Diversity Clinic. My appt was suddenly cancelled by Dr Gray with no note or reasoning why. It took 3 hours to get ahold of the Gender Diversity Clinic Manager. Even then I was given no reason for cancellation and was told Dr Gray is refusing to see me even though I did all the requested Pre Surgical Workup including obtaining the Gender Affirming Letters. I still have no answers nor support as to why my Gender Affirming Surgery was cancelled. For a clinic that claims to support Trans patients trying to obtain care at UKHS for Dr Meredith Gray or Dr Quinn Jackson has been the worst experience of my life. I am now being forced to travel out of state and pay out of pocket for my care and surgeries rather than do them locally with insurance. If you are Transgender I would steer clear of UKHS Gender Diversity Clinic.

Patients beware! I went to Dr. Gray for a surgery that millions of women receive every year -- removal of an ovary. Dr. Gray performed the surgery laproscopically and in the process perforated my colon. As a result, I had to have a second emergency surgery as sepsis had set in and I awoke to having a permanent colostomy bag. While I have adapted emotionally and physically to this, it was not a simple surgery and 4 surgeries later (for a total of 6) and I'm still not healed. And to top it off -- she didn't have malpractice insurance! She is THE one person in my 40+ years of living that has impacted my life the most...and not in a good way.

Dr. Gray was my surgeon and she made me so comfortable with my procedure and she done beyond a great job. She removed my fibroids that were pressing up against my bladder and pinching my colon. She took her time and even corrected a hernia that I had. Her bedside manner was on point. The best! I definitely recommend her.

I've had nothing but the BEST experience with Dr. Gray. I had to change doctors and the one I tried before Dr. Gray wasn't willing to really listen to me and the issues I had. Dr. Gray not only listened but made sure I was taken care of in a timely matter! I would highly recommend her.

Dr Gray was phenomenal during my entire pregnancy. I was so sad I wouldn't be seeing her as much once my son was born. She made me feel so comfortable and I left each visit thinking, "I got this!" I can't recommend her enough!!!

Dr. Gray is one amazing doctor. She is very knowledgeable in her area of expertise. She is also very knowledgeable in working with transgender individuals. Very high energy always with a smile, wonderful bed side manners. Overall an amazing Dr I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was able to complete my hysterectomy with thru the vaginal canal so no scaring, recovery time half. My wife even likes her.

I would not recommend this doctor anyone.
