We had a terrible time with McSwain. We found her to be disingenuous, and trying to get through her rounds as quickly as possible. Please do better, Atrium!

For whatever reason this site won’t let me tell my story. It keeps flagging it as profanity when there isn’t a single profane word. So all I can say is “I didn’t have a good experience.”

So disappointed with Atrium’s inexperienced staff. McSwain lacks the empathy needed. I can’t imagine she has children of her own and that’s a problem when it comes to understanding the relationship between parents and children.

I was so unhappy with McSwain. It was a lot of mental gymnastics and bait and switch with her. She seemed to talk out both sides of her mouth.

Unlikable. Poor bedside manners. Shouldn't be employed within healthcare. DMV would be a better fit.

Unprofessional, inarticulate and dismissive of everything that I said.

Extreamly rude, unprofessional and unknowledgable. Everything she said was debunked by specialists.

I had a very troubling experience with the NICU nurse practitioner who was assigned to my baby. From the moment we arrived, I felt a lack of empathy and concern for my baby’s well-being. The communication was poor, and I often found myself needing to repeatedly ask questions and clarify the next steps. Meredith McSwain seemed rushed and inattentive, which made me feel like my concerns were dismissed. I understand the NICU can be a fast-paced environment, but when it comes to a newborn’s care, it’s critical to be thorough, patient, and compassionate. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. Additionally, the explanations given about my baby’s condition and treatment were unclear, and I had to rely on other staff members to get the information I needed. It was incredibly frustrating, especially during such a stressful time.
