Dr. Meredith Taylor Overholt, MD

I do not recommend Dr. Overholt. She was exceptionally rude and condescending. Now matter how accomplished as a medical doctor, she cannot expect patients to return if she is so rude.

Meredith T. Overholt does not deserve a single star. I am 44 years old, lived all over this country, seen numerous dermatologist, and never have I experienced a more horribly arrogant doctor in my life. I saw this doctor after moving here three years ago. I homeschool and have two young girls. When in my appointment, not only did she roll her eyes at my children being with me, she disregarded all my concerns (I am a skin cancer survivor). I was treated by her and all of her office staff like I was completely incompetent. After living in Knoxville for over 3 years now, I have heard how Meredith T. Overholt (I prefer not to address her as a doctor since I strongly believe she does not deserve the title) is only cordial to people of “status”. So, if you have a lot of money or have something for her person gain, she may be nice to you. This lady is a disgrace. Save your time and money. If she was the last dermatologist on earth, I would cut my skin cancer out myself.

I went in for a mole check, was told I had folliculitis, then said she found a melanoma on my shoulder and refused to biopsy it when Ive had a history of it for years. Then told me I needed to dig up my medical records from when I was a child before I come back for an appointment. Not something you say to someone who takes chemotherapy, and the office staff kept laughing at my son. I will not be going back.

I was very disappointed in Dr. Overholt. Her bedside manner was horrific. I couldn't get out of her office fast enough and will not be back.

Extremely disappointed. 2 visits. 1st visit; wait time wasn't too bad (25 mins.). Spent about 5 mins. with me, quick diagnosis, gave Rx, sent on way. 2nd visit; wait time over an hour. 1st diagnosis was incorrect. Offered new diagnosis with new script and then tried to sell me on cosmetic specials they were running. Didn't want/buy any of that. (I was there for a medical condition, not cosmetic procedures). 3rd visit (still mis-diagnosed), waited an hour and 20 mins. When I checked on why the wait was so long (others came and went - who were getting Botox done (overheard)), I didn't get a reply and I was told it "wouldn't be long". 20 mins. later I walked out without being seen. Went to new doctor who diagnosed correctly the first try. Stay away from Dr. Overholt unless you need cosmetic work done. I guess that's her specialty. not a good dermatologist.
