Dr. Meredith Turetz is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian. She is certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine.Dr. Turetz earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her residency in internal medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine in 2001, and remained as a fellow in pulmonary and critical care medicine, completing fellowship training in 2006. She has clinical experience in international medicine having worked abroad with Doctors Without Borders caring for patients with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis. She has expertise in airway disorders having done clinical research on the genetic basis of COPD and spending several years caring for patients with lung disease due to exposure from the World Trade Center disaster and evaluating distal airway injury. Dr. Turetz returned to Weill Cornell in 2009 and has primary …responsibility for the inpatient pulmonary consult service. Dr. Turetz is always on time and answers all my questions. I have been with my rheumatologis for 18 years and he seeks her opinion every time regarding my condition. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, and is not in a rush to leave the room. I highly recommend Dr. Turetz for patients looking for a pulmonlogist.

Dr. Turetz is a wonderful and intelligent doctor. She is humble, patient, knowledgeable, diligent and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk into her office. She does not rush you out of her office and explains everything and will answer all of your questions. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Turetz is hands down the best pulmonologist I have ever had and I have had several. Knowledgable, personable, wonderful and super Doctor. I have already recommended her to one of my friends.

Dr Turetz is very knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. I never feel that the visits are rushed. She is familiar with my health conditions and follows through as expected. She includes me in decisions and shares her reasoning and perspective. I have great confidence in her.

Just recently, I met Dr. Turetz for the first of what most likely will be many more visits. I found her to be very kind and thoughtful. At this initial visit Dr. Turetz explained my condition in easy to understand terminology, went over all of my pertinent records and answered the questions I had. I feel I am in excellent hands to be fortunate to have Dr. Turetz as my pulmonologist. She has a lovely manner and what is most appreciated, a good sense of humor.

Dr Meridith Turetz is an incredible pulmonologist not only has she taken great care of my mother’s health but, also she is lovely to speak with at every visit. It’s rare to find a great specialist that combines such personal touches and care for a patient with outstanding quality of medical care. I highly recommend her.
