Dr. Merritt Lynn Fajt, MD

In my experience, Dr. Fajt does not take a scientific or comprehensive view of her patient's conditions, nor does she seem to concern herself with the extent of their suffering. Her main priority seems to be efficiency of her time, and dishing out quick solutions in the form of medications in place of establishing cause and effect relationships. In the two years or so I was a patient of Dr. Fajt, I saw no recognizable improvement to my health as a result of her treatment. I was enrolled in immunotherapy treatment for about a year and a half, and experienced no noticeable improvement to my allergic reactions or breathability. If anything, my conditions seemed to worsen. Because to my knowledge the shots could only be administered in-office, my scheduled commute would be about 45 minutes each way, not accounting for rush hour, parking, or waiting time. Appointments typically felt rushed, sometimes being only minutes in length. Suggestions that environmental factors or unknown… sensitivities could be influencing my condition were typically scoffed at, met with dismissive annoyance, and not taken seriously. No effort was made, nor information provided, on the treatment of one's living space or diagnosis of environmental contributors, all of which are vital to those suffering from chronic rhinitis. I assume this is because there is no money to be made in that department via prescription pharmaceuticals. To me, this is highly unscientific and irresponsible.
