Dr. Merritt Seth Hubsher, MD

I had taken my teenage son to Dr. Hubsher after seeing very nice reviews. However, we found Dr. Hubsher very cold and he did not seem to care about patient. These were all virtual appointments and in one of them I was sharing something that I was extremely concerned with, but he was half listening and eating a sandwich during the appointment! Also, I made therapist appointment in the same practice, but the therapist had no information/notes from the intake appointment with Dr. Hubsher. So I rescheduled the therapist appointment. The same thing happened more than once. We wasted a lot of time seeing Dr. Hubsher and the therapist in a very crucial period for my son as well as thousands of dollars. I have gone to many doctors and psychiarists in my life and this was decisively the worst experience!

Bringing my teenaged son to Dr. Hubsher was life-changing, not only for my son, but our whole family. Watching him suffer with self doubt, low self esteem and depression was heart-wrenching. He could not see what everybody else could; that he was a kind, talented, funny, caring brother, son, teammate and friend. When we asked our pediatrician for a referral, Dr. Hubsher was without a doubt, the one he wanted us to see. So we did, and it was the best thing that ever happened to my son. Dr. Hubsher took his time in getting to know him and was so sincere in his care. I have my son back and he is content with himself. He is confident, funny, caring and actually likes who he is! We cannot thank Dr. Hubsher enough.

Dr. Hubsher has truly set me up on the right path in life. His diagnoses and subsequent treatment has allowed me to accomplish many goals I once thought were unattainable, in addition to solving many of the underlying issues I came in with. I would highly recommend Dr. Hubsher if you're looking for expert care.

It's really hard to find good psychiatrists these days, especially when it goes beyond simple anxiety and depression. I've seen countless psychiatrists and therapists that could not see past an anxiety and depression diagnosis. However, I'd been struggling with simple tasks of daily living and with work performance for a very long time. Things took me an extremely long time to do. Dr. Hubsher took me seriously when I discussed adult ADHD because I had always suspected it and had a family history of it. Another psychiatrist did not want to entertain the diagnosis of ADHD because he said I was smart so basically I couldn't have it. You can be smart and have ADHD. I think that is a big misconception. Dr. Hubsher is very knowledgeable of adult ADHD and understands the intricacies of the disorder in terms of thought processes, barriers in daily living and how to properly medicate. I was even able to get off antidepressants since past psychiatrists had just medicated me for anxiety… and depression. Little did I realize I was anxious and depressed because I could not function normally due to the ADHD. In my case, he treated the cause and not the symptoms. There may be a slight wait when you arrive at an appointment, but Dr. Hubsher gives you quality time and has been the best psychiatrist I have ever been to. Highly recommend him.

Thank goodness for Dr. Hubsher. He was the only one to accurately diagnose our son. With help from Dr. Hubsher our son is functioning, getting along with family making friends and managing school - all activities he had been unable to deal with emotionally. Our soon enjoys talking with Dr Hubsher and trust him which contributes to his compliance. We highly recommend Dr Hubsher to friends and anyone who needs help,

The man is a genius. After years of frustration trying to accurately describe how I was feeling, Dr. Hubsher was able to clearly and concisely diagnose the issue quickly into our first session. I had felt distracted, lethargic, and simply not myself since middle school. I avoided evaluation for years because I perceived ADHD as a weakness and did not want to know the truth. Not only has his prescription helped me immensely, but he effortlessly changed my perspective about ADHD. He truly listens to and cares for his patients, which is far from a universal practice. Plus the receptionists are very kind and helpful. Cute too !

Dr. Hubsher has worked miracles on my mental health. After seeing a number of psychiatrists who hadn't benefitted me at all, and may have actually worsened my illness by changing medications and not listening intently to my personal reaction to the new prescriptions, Dr. Hubsher was recommended to us by a therapist who had nothing but good things to say about his success with difficult/abnormal cases (which I was). My first 2-3 sessions were long evaluations with him and ere spent with me doing all the talking and him asking simply the perfect questions to get the details about my mental illness. He listened! He didn't try to categorize me or put me in a box as far as diagnosing me because everyone's mental health is unique and individual. He simply listened with care to my symptoms, emotions, and feelings and created a UNIQUE recovery plan for me. I am now 99% better, and never did I think I could lead a normal life again. His receptionists are amazing and friendly, creating a… welcoming environment, and getting to know each patient personally. I am eternally grateful for all that Dr. Hubsher and his staff have done for me.

I've been looking for many years for the right doctor to help my son with his ADHD. After just one visit, Dr. Hubsher correctly diagnosed and gave my son the correct medicine and correct dosage, which is critical. Dr. Hubsher gave me my son back. His grades are back to straight A's. I am forever in his debt.
