Dr Merry J Markham, MD

Dr. Markham received her MD degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Florida. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Florida, Gainesville, where she served as Chief Resident, and subsequently completed her Hematology and Oncology Fellowship. Dr. Markham joins us from the University of Florida Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, where she served as Chief (2018-2024) and held the faculty appointment as Professor. Dr. Markham's clinical interests include the treatment of gynecologic cancers, with a primary interest in ovarian cancer. She is also dedicated to cancer survivorship and supporting patients through all phases of the cancer journey. Her research focuses on improving cancer care delivery, with an emphasis on patient-clinician communication, survivorship, and quality of care in gynecologic oncology.
