Dr. Mia Louise Scott, DO

Mia has taken care of my health issues when others actually refused care. She is straight forward as I expect my doc to be. Her staff is helpful and friendly. I have had no negative experiences with this D.O. She actually cares and looks at the whole picture of a person as I expect a D.O. to do.

She is an aweful person and even worse an aweful doctor DO NO TRUST THIS OFFICE

I had been a patient of Dr Scott's for several years when I went to see her because of constant and persistent diarrhea. She did some bloodwork, said it was fine. I asked what we were going to do about my issue, she simply said that my bloodwork was fine again. She did not look into why this was happening, what might be it's cause. Well, I had undisguised Crohn's Disease. The scar tissue created by not being treated led to a bowel obstruction, sepsis, 6 days in ICU during which I could have died. She never followed up on my hospital visit.

DR. SCOTT AND HER STAFF ARE LIKE FAMILY. SHE GENUINELY CARES ABOUT HER PATIENTS, LISTENS TO YOU SINCE YOU KNOW YOUR BODY AND HEALTH BETTER THAN ANYONE, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES AS SHE RUNS HER SCHEDULE RIGHT ON TIME WITH NO TOLERANCE FOR THE PEOPLE WHO COME IN 30 MIN LATE AND EXPECT TO BUMP OTHERS FOR THE APPOINTMENT. WOULD NEVER SWITCH AGAIN TO ANOTHER PRACTICE.

Over all experience was very poor with this doctor. I Felt like she didn't care for me as a patient.

I have been a patient at Apex Family Medicine for nearly 15 years and have seen Dr. Scott for about 8 years. She is great. If you want and need the time with her, she's yours. She's professional and polite, and I hope that she doesn't burn out as a primary care internist. Only a small percentage of new physicians go into family medicine, and we're lucky to have Dr. Scott among them. Staff is super, too.
