Dr. Micah T Hoffman, MD

I asked Dr. Hoffman to involuntarily hospitalize my boyfriend Nathan because he keeps being abusive due to his delusion that he keeps being persecuted. Here refused to take me seriously and just been a bad experience.

This provider was staring at my thighs the entire time I was in front of him I had anxiety attack and had to come into the Access Center in my mini skirt he couldn't focus on what I was saying he just kept staring at my legs.

I went into a clinic where I was treated by the unprofessional Dr. Micah Hoffman. He lacked sympathy and genuine care. He took about five minutes with me, most of which consisted of him probing me with questions that had little relevance to my situation. Once I finally explained to him the struggles that I have been facing he lacked any sympathy or response. And I left his office with a prescription that a regular doctor could have prescribed me. I did not get the help that I needed. I have never met a doctor like him and I fear for future mental health patients that might see him. Stay away from him if you are looking for a genuine and caring doctor that has your best interest in mind. He should not be practicing in the mental health space by the way that I was treated.

First of all the only reason my wife and I gave this 1 stars was for how kind the lady at the front desk was. As for Dr. Hoffman, he gets one star just for showing up to work. I work with the UN and the WHO on bringing better mental health practices to the world, and one of the major ways that starts is with the way professionals treat the patients [ESPECIALLY in an emergency situation (which this clinic is set up for - and trust me you pay for this “emergency” help)]. He treated my wife like she was a drug addict, he judged her for missing her Dr. Appointment last week, and only asked what she has been struggling with lately AFTER he told her he couldn’t help her with the reason she went in (with a fist full of judgement). I’m not saying he is a bad doctor, I’m saying that that his priority first as a Psychiatrist is the delicate approach needed when dealing with mental health, of which he did not seem to care much about when dealing with my wife. We are doing more than just… leaving this review, because doctors like him should conduct them selves at as high of a level as they are paid. Thank you Dr. Micah Hoffman for the $1,200 bill to have you judge and mentally damage further my wife. I would gladly pay that money for my wife to get the help she needs.

Do not come here if you value your health, there is no concern for the care of their patients. This is one of the most incompetent places I have been to. To verify how unprofessional this place is look at the Better Business Bureau site they have been reported over 11 times in the past year. As far as Psychiatrists go Dr. Micah Hoffman was extremely unprofessional stay far away.

Dr. Hoffman was the best doctor I've worked with in the hospital. He took time to talk about my medication options, and I could tell he really cared. Nobody wants to be in a psych hospital, but doctors like Dr. Hoffman make it a much better experience.
