Summary
Prior to the start of my career I knew, “I want to help people,” and that is now my primary therapy goal with you. I really enjoy working with individuals who are healing from trauma, relational hurt, or just some of the natural hurt and confusion that comes with each stage of life. I also enjoy helping individuals as they evolve and discover themselves and various aspects of their identity and am passionate about multiracial identity development. Therefore, I see individuals for a wide variety of presenting problems, including trauma, anxiety, depression, identity development, multiracial issues, and much more.
I have worked in schools, in day treatment and inpatient settings, and in EAP and outpatient offices with clients varying from ages 4 to 73. I use a variety of approaches, including CBT, DBT, and client-centered approaches, and have received additional trainings in TF-CBT, Mindfulness, substance abuse, and Multiculturalism.
I work well with teenagers and young adults, …especially when reluctant, unsure, or even “voluntold” about their engagement in therapy and make sure to tailor your therapy to meet you wherever you are at.
