Dr. Aiona was only my surgeon for 5 years, because I wasn't a patient of Shriner's until I was 14. Being an adult with cerebral palsy, it has been difficult finding surgeons that have the experience and most of all the compassion and bedside manner that he has. He never tried to find the "quick fix," but listened to concerns. I've had a couple of unsuccessful surgeries on my foot and leg since leaving the care of Shriners. I weep when I think of the care that I no longer get to receive. The whole staff was great, CPO staff, and the nurses. I even when the teachers couldn't help me with my trig or calculus homework, they would call doctors to the classroom to come and help me so I wouldn't fall behind in school! I miss that standard of care.

he was my doctor my whole life he is life a member of my family if it wasnt for him I would not be who I am today.

Dr. Aiona was my doctor for a little over 18 years. He is the best surgeon I have known. He is very caring of all his patients and I will miss having him as my dr. He feels as if he is family!

Dr. aiona was my doctor for nearly 17 years if not longer he really listend to my needs and was like a family member to me and my family he cares he is talented and because of him i am 23 years old and i am able to play walk and run with my son who is now five.
