Dr. Michael Hunter Albrink, MD

In 2019 Dr. Albrink fixed my ventral hernia with biological (porcine) mesh. Before surgery I explained that I had many allergies and autoimmune tendencies. I reacted badly to the mesh and it became infected. Two more surgeries were needed to remove the mesh. I had a would vac for months. I still have a hernia. My abdomen will never be the same. Be careful.

Dr. Albrink fixed my large ventral hernia using biological mesh. Before the surgery, I met with him and explained I have many allergies and an autoimmune disorder. I reacted very badly to the mesh, and the mesh became infected, requiring 6 hospitalizations and 2 more surgeries to remove the mesh. Almost 2 years later, I still battle fevers and seromas. He is a amiable person, but I would not wish hernia mesh problems on anyone. Please beware.

I am a 60 year old male fairly good shape with the exception of real bad paraesophageal hernia. Dr. Albrink and his staff have been GREAT my surgery went very well as my speedy recovery. I am so grateful to him for having so much passion for what he does for his patients. After surgery I feel like a whole new man. I have never felt this good in a very long time. Dr. Albrink repaired my incisional hernia on May 2. Mesh was used. As of today, I am doing well. He spends time with you explaining everything and is a pleasure to work with.

I have been under Dr. Albrink’s watchful care for the past several months and most grateful to him and his surgical team. I am now recovering from a somewhat tricky intestinal resectioning. Dr. Albrink has wonderful bedside manner. We took our family member that is hearing impaired. He was very kind and gentle with her. Aside from helping us understand her condition, he was patient and slow with us. He came highly recommended for his knowledge and wisdom on performing bloodless surgery. We feel confident he will continue to treat our family as he would his own

I had hernia surgery yesterday. I was really impressed with all his staff; very lrofesdional; knowledgeable, and super nice. I was a wonderful experience. In doing great and I love Dr. Albrink. I waited 3 months and drove 3 hours . it was well worth it.

Dr. Michael Albrink has refused to operate on my incisional hernia stating that he could do more harm than good at this time. I really appreciated his honesty.. He is following up with 6 month appt. unless I have an emergency [obstruction] He is very professional and compassionate.

Not only have I worked professionally with Dr Albrink, but he has been my surgeon. As a nurse, I think he is wonderful....he is a very talented surgeon and a easy to work with. As a patient, I think he is even better. He explained the procedure thoroughly, checked on me frequently throughout the procedure (I was awake during the procedure) and followed me closely post-operatively. I would certainly have him operate on me again if needed, and would definitely recommend him to anyone else.
