Dr. Michael Ikechukwu Asike, MD

I recently saw Dr. Asike for a sudden change in bowel habits. After 2 months of waiting for a new patient appointment where we spoke for approximately 10 minutes I had to wait another 2 months for a colonoscopy / endoscopy. After the procedure I received an automated response with a brief overview of the findings.I contacted Dr. Asike to ask for some more clarification and the response I received was dismissed of my symptoms and provided no treatment plan or advice for further actions. The response indicated all the issues were from chronic issues with no regard to the sudden change in bowel habits I originally made the appointment for. Going to get a second opinion and wouldn't recommend this doctor. He gives the impression of being too busy to truly pay attention to his patients.

Dr. M. Asike has poor bedside manner; often sloughing off patient concerns and simply ignoring pertinent information. Makes assumptions, does not explain medical reasoning, does not follow up, lacks professionalism and empathy. Because of Asike, I lived with a serious medical problem for 6 months longer than I should have.

Doctor is very knowledgeable, thorough and made me feel confident in my decision.
