Dr. Michael Baehr, MD

Prior to my office visit with Dr. Baehr, I made a small and organized list of a few concerning health issues I've been experiencing. I felt that addressing my health concerns with Dr. Baehr would inspire knowledge sharing, and/or advise managing my health. However, during my office visit with Dr. Baehr, he repeatedly diminished my health concerns and I was made to feel as though my concerns for my health and wellbeing were not his problem, nor worth his time or concern. Leaving his office, I felt totally dismissed and shamed, as if I know nothing about the changes occurring within my own body. I feel as though if I don't allow him to treat me poorly, he will not order imperative testing that so badly needs to be done. How can I address issues and work with a doctor that doesn't listen, or even seem to care?

Dr is excellent. My issue is trying to call. There is only an answering service. Many times I was on hold, with no one picking up for 15 minutes I had to hang up. Cannot call straight to Drs office.

front desk receptionist has problems. dr baehr is okay with the way she treats his patients.the old lady at the front desk is a horrible person,who thrives on giving people a hard time. being in the service industry for over 40 years,i know how to treat people and speak to them,this woman has no feelings and has no idea how to do her job correctly.she thinks she is the boss,and everyone must bow to her.never again.im done with her,and dr. baehr forever. DO NOT GO HERE!! STAY FAR AWAY!! AVOID ANY HARRASSMENT SHE HAS FOR YOU!! TELL YOUR INSURANCE CO. ABOUT THIS FOUL PRACTICE!!

I’ve always felt listened to by Dr. Baehr. He’s been great with addressing my concerns. However, his front desk staff, Jennifer, is one of the rudest individuals I’ve ever come across in the healthcare industry. I’ve been waiting now for over a week for the office to put in my pre authorization for a prescription. I’ve called, and had to message, my insurance has sent over the pre authorization forms 3 times. Only to find out today that Jennifer has decided that she is not sending the pre authorization to my insurance because she claims “they will deny it anyway” and she’s not wasting her time for that. Plus, she told me that Dr Baehr said it was fine not to send the PA through to my insurance as they have been requesting (strange that he even wrote me the script if he felt that way). I’ve asked to speak with Dr Baehr about this and I was told he’s on vacation. No one has returned my calls about the horrible treatment and abuse of medical assistant power that is going on in that… office. If I have a script and my insurance wants the pre authorization, send it through. They are the only ones that will decide what will be approved, not Jennifer (aka insurance decision maker). I’m looking for a new doctor. It’s a real shame that this office has declined the way it has.

After trying to get assigned a doctor within the Bravera group, I got assigned this doctor Baehr who was condensending and brush away anything I mentioned about my current conditions and diagnosis by my endocronologist. He came across arogant and uninterested. He did a quick check with the stethoscope and that was it. Never even asked if I had my flu shot as my other dr Saavedra did. Definitely will be looking for another doctor covered by Aetna.

One bad experience after another. Had the receptionist, Diane, older woman with smoker’s voice, tell me out of nowhere on my first visit that he won’t prescribe me anything for what I was being seen for. She was rude and had zero empathy or kindness which is the opposite of the kind of person that should be working in patient care. Never asked her for her opinion. I came to see a doctor for that. Not her. As suspected, she was wrong and the doctor did prescribe me something. Five days later, after seeing Dr. Baehr and being prescribed the medicine, had to stop taking this medication. It was giving me headaches. So I’m struggling without any medication and call the doctor for a different med to be sent in. Just the way it is sometimes. As someone who has dealt with chronic health issues my whole life it is common to have to try a few different meds before finding one that works. So I call the nurse line option 4 and leave a message on a Monday, first thing in the morning. I tell her… that I’m really suffering and I need a different medication. She says that she will make sure he gets the message right away so that I can get a different med. Never hear back Monday. Tuesday comes, still hear nothing. They are about to close so I call again Tuesday evening. Tell them what’s going on and I get sent to “Dr” Diane. In true miserable fashion she proceeds to tell me that he’s not going to prescribe anything. This is simply not an accurate or kind thing to say to a patient that is suffering and I tell her that I was just seen and there is no reason why he wouldn’t prescribe me something else. It’s what doctors do. If you have just been seen and one med doesn’t work, they try something else. She interrupts me loudly to tell me that I’m wrong and any doctor that would send in something else is illegally prescribing and I’ll have to wait for a month to be seen. I start crying (I’m exhausted, I couldn’t help it, felt stupid crying) and ask her what I’m supposed to do. I tell her that what she is saying makes no sense. She talks over me and hangs up. I call back and someone on the nurses line picks up. I ask to speak to the office manager. The woman couldn’t get her on the phone. She was kind and apologized repeatedly after I told her everything that happened. She said that Diane is wrong, once again, and what she said is not accurate. She also said that there are zero notes directly from the doctor meaning everything Diane said didn’t even come from the doctor. She emailed the office manager to contact me on Wednesday before getting off the phone with me so that I can file a formal complaint and get a new medication sent to my pharmacy. It is now 5:45 PM on Wednesday. Nobody called, nobody emailed me, nothing. So I’m just suffering and nobody cares, consistently. I’m beyond angry and defeated. How can you care so little about human beings? There is no excuse for the behavior of these people. You never know what someone is going through. I just lost someone very close to me and that paired with my health issues has been very hard for me to cope with. I came to get help. No compassion and no communication from these people. This doctor’s office is a disaster and they just don’t care. I liked Dr. Baehr, he seemed like a nice person. For all I know, he doesn’t even know what’s going on. He never even looked at the note put in on Monday morning so I guess he is just as bad as his staff is. He has to be able to see the notes that are literally for him. Does he know that “Dr.” Crazy is up front making decisions about patient care, or lack there of? If you read the reviews, there’s mention of the “rude” lady up front. That’s Diane. She’s been treating people like trash for a long time and nobody cares. I’m in the twilight zone. Seriously. Back to finding a new PCP, and just when you think you’ve dealt with it all, you get people like this that are supposed to help and do no harm. I know I’m not the only one and Diane is an ongoing problem. Makes me wonder how many other patients are being treated this poorly by this office. So sad.

A pathetic excuse of a “care” provider. Clearly only interested in running a medicaid ring of clients to collect on. Typical for this area no big surprise. Thanks for absolutely nothing. I truly hope that he has to experience the suffering other people do as he does not bother to help anybody but himself.

I just had my initial visit with Dr. Baehr and couldn’t be more pleased. My insurance was verified when I arrived and went smoothly. Yes, I did wait some before seeing the doctor, but I expect that. Physicians take time with their patients and some need more than others. They also get called for other emergencies and tasks that they don’t always count on. The important thing is that Dr. Baehr did not make me feel rushed at all. He spent all the time needed to address my concerns and take care of the purpose of my visit. He is friendly and has a great bedside manner. I feel very confident and blessed to now have Dr. Baehr as my primary physician. My boyfriend is also using Dr. Baehr as his primary doctor, too, and really likes him. It hasn’t been easy for me to find a physician since I moved to Florida. I’m so happy to have found a great doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr Baehr for several years and initially liked him enough that both my husband and mother also go to him now. Over the last 2 years he has gone WAY down hill. Runs extremely late for appointments (this has been consistent for the last 2 years and did not happen a single time). Frequently it may be 2 hours past your appointment time before you get to see the doctor even with a regular scheduled appointment. He has become very short, does not listen like he used to, seems to have his mind made up before even talking with or examining his patient. His office staff has changed and they are no longer the same friendly people he used to have. He seems to be more interested in being able to bill your insurance for a visit than he is in your health and wellbeing. His office has recently taken to not responding to calls or messages in their portal for days on end and then when they do respond it is not an answer or useful information - just a generic response to… which you have no choice but try again and then wait for days. My husband has now been trying to get a medication refilled for over 2 weeks with no response at all. We will be looking for a new healthcare provider and would strongly suggest not starting with Dr Baehr if you can find an alternative. He certainly does not feel that his patients time is valuable but he is very interested in collecting from insurance (Including billing for flu shots when we did not receive then in the office - we got them at the Publix pharmacy)

Dr Baehr is very caring he listens, asks questions and works with you to find answers to your health issues. Highly recommend him.
