Dr. Michael Bagheri, MD

Dr Bagheri is the BEST! I have been a patient of his since last year. From the day I met him I felt so at ease. Very soft spoken, compassionate, caring, and throughly explained my conditions. Fast forward... On May 1st 2024 I went to Desert Hospital with shortness of breath and chest pains. As soon as Dr Bagheri was notified, he and his staff jumped in to action. Within minutes he took control of my case and expeditiously ordered an Angiogram. The results were not good. Two blocked arteries. He made the decision to implant a stent in one of the arteries and prescribed medication for the less threatening one. During the procedure Dr. Bagheri kept me well informed on everything he was doing. I felt so safe in his care. I immediately felt much better after it was done. He followed up with me after and I was out within hours. I plan to keep Dr Bagheri for s long as possible for my cardiac care. I definitely recommend him to anyone that is seeking an outstanding and amazing cardiologist.

I have found over my 70+ years, that Cardio docs are a unique breed of their own. You know, most of us have run across the arrogant, condescending, God-like, poor communicating and overbooked Cardiologist. After open heart surgery at Eisenhower I was recommended to Mike Bagheri - What a find! If it is important to you, like it is to me, to feel good about your doc; that he is not the announcer for the grim reaper; he is proactive; and that he and his staff look and are professional - Michael is your guy! In this valley where good docs are hard, if not impossible, to find - I would recommend Michael to anyone in need of good quality Cardio care!

My husband met with Dr. Bagheri and had a very thoughtful, intelligent conversation about his recent history. Dr. Bagheri asked us none of the usual questions. We had provided an extensive questionnaire online, and the amazing thing was that the doctor had actually read it. I sat in on the meeting as my husband sometimes has memory issues to recent traumatic brain injuries. I was really surprised at how much time he took to discuss options for continued data gathering and considered alternatives for further action. We left feeling great about this new doctor. After covid, we had experienced terrible waits, inattentive staff and outright belligerence regarding wait time to get an appointment scheduled. Really, this was a feeling of a return to better times.

Dr. Bagheri is brilliant, innovative and kind-a true expert in his field. He truly helped change our lives.

Dr. Bagheri is an attentive and caring physician, but his staff and office procedures are sadly inefficient. I called 5 times trying to get the results from a blood test. The first 2 times I was told the results had been put into my chart and asked if I wanted to get the results??? They said the doctor would review it and call me back by the end of the day. The other 3 times I was told the doctor would call me with the results, but I never received a call back. On the final call, the receptionist read me the results and when I said I'd been told the doctor would call me, she said he never discusses results with patients unless there is a problem... then why was I told 5 times that he would call me back??? It took an entire month to finally get the results from these office workers, very unprofessional. It's sad because he is an excellent doctor, but his ineffective staff damages the quality of care in his office.

During an appointment to have a recent surgery wound checked regarding a procedure done by Dr. Bagheri I asked the nurse doing the check questions about what could be done for my high blood pressure? She stated that the drug Clonidine can be used to reduce high blood pressure quickly. I had explained that I was concerned about a recent incident where I was feeling dizzy and had seen black spots which was impairing my vision and that I had checked my blood pressure at the time and it was high. The nurse said she would discuss this with Dr. Bagheri and then let me know later that day what Dr. Bagheri wanted to do. As a result of not being called back that day I called Dr. Bagheri's office the following morning and explained that I was calling about a medication which had been discussed with Dr. Bagheri's nurse the previous day during my appointment. The young women I was talking with said she would place me on hold while she discussed this with the nurse. When she again came back on… the line she told me that when she discussed this with the nurse the nurse told her that she did not recall talking with me about Clonidine! I was shocked to hear this and could not understand how this was possible? So I asked if I could speak with Dr. Bagheri and was told he was not in the office. I then requested that he call me so I could directly discuss this with him. The person I was talking to said that she would pass this on to Dr. Bagheri and then get back to me. I said that I was ok with that but that I also wanted to talk with Dr. Bagheri about this. By mid afternoon I again called Dr. Bagheri's office as they had not called me back. I spoke to the same person I had spoken with previously and she said that she had not been able to talk with Dr. Bagheri yet. I explained that I was concerned and needed to speak with the doctor. I was then told that an attempt had been made to reach the doctor but he had not responded. They also told me that they communicated to Dr. Bagheri my need to talk with him. That was Friday, 1-25-19 and Dr. Bagheri never returned my call. Dr. Bagheri recommended and implanted a Cardiac device in my chest that monitors my heart for the same symptoms I had reported to his nurse. I have serious questions now about the lack of follow up I have experienced and the over all level of care I am receiving. CONCERNED!

The best doctor I had

It’s been a few years . He is very through and understanding .

First off you might have a wait seeing Dr Bagheri but it will be worth it. He is a very popular dr here in the valley. Once you get in to see him, he is all about you. His girls Anna or Asia (can't remember) Kim and Jessica are all about the patient. They always follow up when I have called. Dr Bagheri put a stent in me and my family was so thankful because he actually went into the waiting room and exlined what they did. Also the Desert Regional Hospital was just as effienct as Dr Bagheri office.
