Dr. Michael Scott Bailey, MD

Dr, Bailey became my doctor by default as I was in the hospital and did not have a heart doctor. I was flat on my back and liked him from the start. He was upfront and no nonsense ( in the beginning!) As I had more contact with Dr. Bailey and his doctoral mannerisms I felt I had made a ‘friend’. Besides being a good doctor, he’s a ‘good guy’. (Those bosun mate stories are for another day!)

dr. bailey attempted to perform an ablation and during procedure nicked the wall of my heart causing a bleed. therefore, i had to have an additional procedure called a periocardial window in order to place a drain in to drain the fluid from the heart. a blood clot formed in my leg and my spleen was damaged during surgery due to my blood pressure dropping. not only did i have to deal with the medical issues for 8 months following, i am also left with $3000+ in medical bills because bailey nicked the wall of my heart resulting me staying in intensive care for 5 days and having to see a pulmonary doctor, an additional cardiologist, a general internest that felt like he needed to stop by every day, place his stethescope on my chest and charge me for a $150 visit. needless to say i have changed doctors and hospitals, but do not have enough damages to sue, but am left paying for his mistake and i still have the heart condition that he didnt fix.
