Summary
Dr. Bailey grew up in Church Hill, Tennessee, located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. He earned a bachelors degree in Chemistry and Physics at East Tennessee State University and attended medical school at the University of Tennessee. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Bailey attended the University of Florida for his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology. During his Cardiology fellowship, he was awarded the Young Investigators Award in Women’s Health. He went on to complete an additional fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology in 2003. While training at the University of Florida, Dr. Bailey had the opportunity to work as a medical support physician with NASA during launches and landings for a number of shuttle missions. He began his cardiac electrophysiology practice in Nashville, Tennessee in 2003. While in Nashville, he founded Nashville Arrhythmia Consultants where he practiced until joining Birmingham Heart Clinic, P.C. in April …2008.
Dr. Bailey and his wife, Jennifer, have two 2 children. Dr. Bailey is an avid football fan and loves running, cycling and music.
