Dr. Michael Reza Banihashemi, MD

Dr. Banihashemi, was the doctor on call this weekend, and my regular doctor is Dr Park. I realized this morning that I was out of my blood thinning medicine, so I felt it was important to call the doctor on call to give me a refill on my prescription, this helps me, so I do not have a stroke. It was obvious when he called me back that I had interrupted his day, to have my need taken care of. There was a lot of voices in the background, and his tone was that he was annoyed that I had even called this in. He said to me and I quote “I will do it this time”!!! First thing Dr Banihashemi, I am the client, and should be treated as such. Not to be talked down to or belittled on the phone like you did. How about some professionalism, and a bit of grace on your part, instead of the attitude you gave me. I recommend that you are not ever the doctor on call anymore, if having to help a patient is a bother for you, no matter how inconvenience or petty you think it is. Your bedside manor leaves… this client disappointed and angry that you think you have the right to talk to me this way. You represent Cardiac Care Associates, and I would hope and do expect better than this type of care from you or anyone else from Cardiac Care Associates. John Stewardson

Dr. Banihashemi really didn't seem interested in figuring out anything. I felt like he wasn't at all interested in me as a patient. Despite some odd findings during a test that one of his nurses seemed to think were not normal the doctor opted to end the test rather than to figure out what was going on.
